✦ AI summary

Flotsam is a city-building raft game with charming art style and satisfying town-shaping mechanics that players find relaxing and fun, though many report it can feel tedious with resource management requiring multiple steps and some difficulty in keeping track of systems like water supply despite having things set up correctly.

I was made aware of this through the Wandering Village discord, and decided to give it a try. I saw this as a city builder Raft game, but I could never get very far. It's difficult to keep track of things, and even when I thought I had something handled, like water, my people were dying of thirst even when everything was set up right. I've played many games like this, but just couldn't get the hang of this one.

It was a fun ride, although it did get pretty tedious at times. My best advice would be to plan ahead, especially when it comes to your resources. Stock up on plenty of water, prioritize your water supply put them in high priority all of it and use the electricity for it a steady supply and make sure you have enough farms to keep your food production steady. Also, once you reach the Fusion Reactor stage, though, it feels a bit underwhelming since you’re already pretty close to finishing the game.

I really like the chance to grow the city and reshape it with ease.

What i like about the game: - The art style - The town building - The research - The Architect Mode that allows you to fully rebuild your city What they can still improve: - Bugs relating to Architect mode (bridge bug that forces your walkways at max length) - Late game performance All in all, a very enjoyable game.

Fun game, simple and very relaxing.

Game has a fun vibe but I found it a bit tedious. Every resource has 2 or 3 steps to actually use it.
