I havent played much yet (WAIT ITS BEEN 3 HOURS??) so i can't say much, but so far what I like: °❀ Music is pretty chill °❀ I like fishing °❀ THE HAIRSTYLES ARE INCREDIBLE, HELLO??? °❀ feels very retro in a comfy way °❀ biiig map °❀ yes china does have coconuts °❀ easy to put away tools to make space for more fish °❀ cool minigames!! waow!!! °❀ cat What I don't like (could change) °❀ no one has a personality, I say having talked to people twice °❀ you gave me PANTS how DARE °❀ I CANT TELL WHO IS A BOY OR GIRL °❀ why is everyone so nice and wholesome its BORING cant someone punch me or something to be continued

I love this game! Granted, I have not passed the first season and read the reviews about the ambiance not changing season to season and that being boring... that being said... I love the spouse candidates. I love the option for enby identity. I love the bartering system. I love that actions you do /repetitively/ do not require minigames, however learning recipes or foraging herbs does. AND I LOVE THE MINIGAMES. The music is lovely. The aesthetics overall are cozy, and feel atmoshperically rural Chinese. I have only just delved into Chinese games - shouts out Where Winds Meet - and the translations are not *natural* but the storyline is one I wish to follow. I love the cooking aspect of this game. I love the taming aspect of this game. I really hope that they continue to expand on it. Things we NEED if we are to keep playing: Different aesthetics based on seasons More minigames? I dunno.

I played SV in college years ago and was so enamored to find this darling little similar game with a Chinese twist. The folklore, dynamic cast of characters, and events were so fun to explore. I did wish that the town and environment changed with the passing of seasons, but know that they are working on that for an upcoming update. As it is, it was still adorable and entertaining.

This game is very cozy and Stardew-esque, but set in ancient China. It has settings to toggle various mini games on or off as well as other settings that can make the game as simple/easy as you want it to be. The storyline and gameplay has been fun so far! It's been exciting to explore, farm, gather exotic pets, and learn how the bartering system works. It'll be fun to see how the storyline continues to progress!
