The Bus

After years of development, the performance is just bad. The game might be good, but yeah… it’s simply not playable.

Worst optimization. Runs poorly and is totally random. Lighting is horrible, looks like a prototype uni project or something. Regarless of what fps it shows, the game just stutters as hell. One time you get a decent gameplay, the next day it stutters like crazy. No matter what settings you have, low, medium, high, with/without dlss, fg. Some buses don't move once you stop at a red signal. Have to keep fiddling with drive/neutral/reverse to some how get it to move. And yet, without fixing that, they release a new dlc bus. And the discord support channel is just people who glaze over the game, like a fan group or something. Any question regarding performance is totally ignored. They know what they are doing.

wow, this Bus simulator is really well done. The ingame menus feel sweet and nice and easy to use. The tutorial could use a small adjustment example how do we program the bus computer and assign a route. It was actually pretty easy once i found out. Clickc the start button on the display and the page will popup. MY my first contract was kind of a failure since i somehow did not figure the above out in the first try. So i desided to just drive anyway to see the city and restart my career game next time when i had more time to play. I like that you can adjusted the in game difficulty settings and by default it start on arcade. In arcade mode the bus have automatic gear and the doors auto open and auto close at bus stops. You can even adjust each setting individual and configure the dififculty as you like. That is nice. I must say the bus drive really nice and you can click all buttons and some stuff can even be automated such as open / close the doors. The game world is big and really beautifull and well done, and so far even the traffic feel spot on not to much and not to little. I deliberately waited two years for the full release, looking forward to the economy mode and especially for the possibility of creating detailed timetables. At the same time, I expected the developers to use this time to polish the game technically. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Despite having a powerful PC build, I can't even play the game on high settings (nor on Epic). The game lags constantly while driving, mouse steering is 1sec delayed, and the keybind configuration is completely bugged—it constantly resets or assigns entirely different keys than the ones I press. I spent 7 hours trying to tweak and fix all of this from the moment I launched the game. Even with AMD Adrenalin tuning, lowering visuals, and using various settings, nothing helped. I managed to finish just two departures, and it wasn't an enjoyable experience, it was pure frustration. On top of that, the overall graphics look poor, night lighting under streetlamps is completely overexposed, and the bus physics make it bounce on the road like a roller coaster, even in realistic mode (arcade mode is totally out of touch with reality). Maybe fix your game BEFORE dropping a Hamburg DLC? For people who want to try this game: Don't! I bought the early access, and it was an unoptimized potato of a game. Now, months after the full release, I bought it again, and I still get an unstable 30–40 FPS (system info below). The force feedback and wheel gameplay in general on my Logitech G923 are not even nearly acceptable, let alone comparable to other games in this genre. NPC drivers are crazy. The game is buggy as hell. Driving around is unsatisfying. This game needs a lot of work done in EVERY aspect!
