DigWorld may feel a bit off-putting at the beginning. At first, the game looks too simple and doesn’t immediately show what makes it fun. But after a few runs, the excitement starts to kick in. You dig, collect loot, watch the timer, sell your resources, upgrade, and then go back again to try for a better result. This gameplay loop slowly becomes addictive. My advice is not to judge the game by the first few minutes. Play at least a couple of runs, unlock a few upgrades, and then decide how you feel about it. Overall, it can be a nice choice for players who enjoy simple, cozy 2D sandbox games with digging, timed runs, upgrades, and the desire to beat your previous result.

[h3]DigWorld is a cracking little game.[/h3] The premise is wonderfully simple: dig, grab as much loot as you can before the clock tells you to stop being greedy, sell your haul, upgrade your gear and do it all again. For the most part, that loop works really well. There’s a surprising amount here to keep you occupied too. Multiple levels, bonus chests, slots, a ridiculous number of things to collect and a healthy pile of achievements give you plenty of reasons to keep coming back. The only real snag is the late-game grind. Once you've ticked off most of the easier achievements and started hunting down the remaining ones, things can get a little repetitive. You end up running the same levels quite a lot and the later areas become noticeably tougher to dig through without the tool upgrades quite keeping pace with the difficulty. Eventually, your character is basically standing there with a glorified spoon, wondering why the ground has suddenly developed a personal vendetta. It doesn't ruin the game by any means, but it does make the final stretch feel slower and more grindy than it needs to be. This is a straight up mining game, one that sooth's the soul. With collectibles, contracts, upgrades, smelting, and optional objectives, random map chances. You can even straight up gamble in a game about moving earth. Not much else to say here.. this game is about as stress free as it gets.

It's a good game, for this price you could spend some hours on it. Could've been great but it feels like it's a early access game. Bonus: it runs on anything.

The progression feels bland and boring. It takes multiple runs later on to get upgrades that don't make it more exciting, just make you more money but you need more for other upgrades. The general mechanics don't change over time or exciting new things don't appear the deeper into the game you go. Just grindy for little payoff for me
