About Absolute Territory
Engage in futuristic space dogfights against large warships and enemy starfighters. Manage Newtonian flight physics with flight assist and power settings, to outwit and eliminate hostiles, and survive through hazardous mine and asteroid fields. Enjoy gripping space flight combat across the 21 mission campaign and 2 wave-based leaderboard game modes.
Absolute Territory uses simulated Newtonian Physics and applies thrust forces to allow velocity and rotation changes. A Flight Assist Computer makes minor thrust corrections to keep you flying in the direction faced. Making space flight feel more like flying a traditional aircraft, without any stall or any drag restrictions on turning no matter how fast you go.
A Slide feature allows the current velocity to be maintained while turning to another direction. Sliding is very useful for strafing runs on large warships or keeping fast-moving targets in your sights. This feature is still available for pilots attuned to traditional space dogfighting games.
Distribute power across engines, shields, and guns for an advantage over your opponent or get yourself out of sticky situations. Target and destroy warship turrets to soften them up before going in for a killing blow.
Disable the Flight Assist Computer to prevent any automated thrust corrections, leaving it in the hands of the pilot. Be warned, with no assist, speed restrictions no longer apply. You could theoretically accelerate forever. A reverse thrust toggle provides a true 6 Degrees of Freedom you would expect in a space environment.
To get the most out of your spacecraft, fly with a HOTAS/HOSAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick/Hands On Stick And Stick) controller. Combining with flight pedals provides accurate control for a more in-depth space dogfighting experience. If you use a traditional pad controller (Xbox/Playstation/Et al.), keeping the Flight Assist Computer enabled is best.

Oh i didn't expected this game to be so bad when i noticed the MIXED REVIEWS! THEY WERE RIGHT! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RIGHT! The horrible tutorial music from human fall flat lobby is so horrible. Why steal music? The shooting sounds sound like from early STAR WARS MOVIES! Hmm they sound at least a bit similar. Ah and the UI??? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORRIBLE! It looks like from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nineties (90s)! First impression hortrible and overall disgusting. QUick cashgrab. Hmmm and i haven't mentioned the enemy AI. DUMB. SO SO DUMB! I mean at first they were shooting at me but then they were doing weird maneuvers and i was shooting at them a few mins till they decided to fly away from me so it waa a lot easier to shoot them down. It was very difficult thanks to dumb AI and overly senstive controller. I always have to play use my keyboard at the end of the mission because the autopilot button combination for controller doesn't work. I don't recommend this game for the full price. Not even on sale, The developer made some mistakes. He doesn't know how to use Is and Has and shortening words. He + Will = He'll. Undercooked. The UI, cockpit design, sound effects, directional audio, audio mixing, visual feedback, tutorial missions and music are so unappealing that I don't want to play this game. Even the long pauses between menu screens and 'Autopilot' jumps are annoying. It's like these features were designed in a vacuum, I don't think they mesh well together. Keyword is 'holistic'. I would rather replay Descent or Freespace instead, even if they use lower quality compressed assets. I like the Knossos mod client. Oh, and I had gotten used to the more modern casual Half Life 2 airboat WASD style control scheme, I think this game maps the keyboard to a Wing Commander layout by default, but it's remappable so it's not a big deal. Just not as easy to pick up and play as more modern intuitive arcade spaceship starfighter games. This game didn't have the budget to truly shine. I'll have to check out the sequel.
