Abyss seeker is a turn-based JRPG that revolves around dungeon exploration, game mechanic is like old school SNES JRPG it is very similar to Lufia 1. The story revolves around a amnesiac cleric and a bounty hunter swords woman. Their quest is to regain memory and treasure hunting eventually lead uncovering the lore of the dungeon and the world beneath. The environment are well made with desert, ocean, space, catacomb, forest and more. Treasures are always visible with a sparkle or chest, eliminating the need to press search button every step. The first hour starts off very basic giving the feeling that the game is bare bones by testing whether the player is able to do simple stuff like buying a wand and cloak and equipping them. The game's pacing picks up right after that when you get your 3rd party member. Your first treasure allows you to teleport to waypoints, making traversing dungeons easy as the waypoints are usually on every 2 floors apart. Unlike Dragon quest, the items has to be used from your inventory menu to teleport to waypoints. Main quests are easy to follow as they revolve around exploration of dungeon. RPG Maker strikes again! "Abyss Seeker" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This is a painfully generic RPG Maker asset flip with a primary "dungeon crawl" theme and a thinly, badly written fan-fiction about the developers imaginary girlfriend, "Barbara", stapled onto it. The writing is pure cringe, and everything else is just stock RPG Maker asset flip garbage. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development.
