About ADAPTR

A hundred years in the future, man lives aboard a giant orbital spacestation. The Earth is lost to an unknown alien presence, but resources are running low, and you must make your way through unused testing areas to eventually land on a post-apocalyptic planet, and make your way through the ruins into the ancient research labs, in order to locate a cure.

Build physics-based vehicles from a range of modular blocks, solve puzzles to move down from orbit, across the Earth's surface and deep into the lost labs. Locate missing robots, explore secret areas and unlock the secrets of a long-lost civilisation.

Using over 25 unique physics components, design vehicles to navigate treacherous and difficult terrain, from low-gravity spacestation environments, through ruined buildings, on to massive destroyed cityscapes, this puzzle game will test your ingenuity and your patience!

By far one of the more entertaining puzzle games out there! Very little critic can be said about this game despite the early stage. Solid gameplay, amazing and stunning map designs! 10/10

Not normally a game I play but I gave it a go. I was determined to get through the levels even though my score was horrid. Got to the 8th level, oh how determined I was. Rockets were the answer to every problem until I launched myself across the level. Less rockets worked out. Made it to the end only to be stopped by an invisible wall and have the arrow tell me to go the opposite way. I later discovered I was actually at the exit and the invisible wall was blocking my way out. This ended my excursion in to ADAPTR. I can see the appeal of the game and for the most part I enjoyed playing it but I encountered a game breaking bug and some smaller bugs along the way. I totally recommend it if they can fix these crazy bugs. Check out my playthrough/failthrough on twitch.tv/seeingbread.

✯✯✯✯ What a wonderful game this is, I wish there was more of it. I got my money's worth of playtime out of ADAPTR and had a blast doing so. It took me about 8 hours to reach the final level using the bare minimum and unoptimal designs I came up with. Sometimes it was just sheer luck, when I crashed into a goal. Like in Zachtronic puzzle games there's a lot of potential to refine and optimize solutions with focus on traits like time or number of used parts. On top of that I had a lot of fun in just trying out the craziest vehicles I could come up with, like a fully functional and steerable rocket propelled UFO. Not only did I need to think about a suitable construction to solve the puzzle, I also had to drive the thing I designed. This opened up for hours of fun figuring out a good steering machine with a well balanced hinge that can also drive kind of fast and doesn't fall over when maneuvering through rough terrain. The perfomance on my ten year old potato is still good, only the rocket smoke could bring my rig to it's knees. Sadly, there are only 10 levels. Although a total of 34 are planned through DLC, which might or might not be released, depending on how popular ADAPTR is b…

This has been one of the best games I have played in a long time. The puzzles on the surface seem simple, but there is alot of depth in the near infinite solutions one can imagine with the toolset provided. The atmosphere is lush and inspirational, it really feels like one is on a different planet. All in all this is a great puzzler for those who want both the preplanning on how to solve the problem but then also the technical act of making it through the maze, AWESOME WORK!

OH MY GOD THOSE GRAPHICS!!! Totally selected the Overclocked option, and my god do the graphics look amazing. These guys really know what they are doing. The game play is simple, very well documented and the interface is very friendly. I would highly recommend that you try it for yourself, I don't want to ruin too much :-)

Clunky physics puzzle game. I wonder how well this would work as a multiplayer or survival game.
