About Artificial Life Simulator

Artificial Life Simulator is a relaxing and colorful simulation game where you create artificial life forms based on particle interactions. The particles interact with each other through forces, resulting in unique emergent behaviors.
  • Explore unique artificial universes in 3D or 2D.
  • The user interface can be hidden for a more immersive experience. This is also useful if you want to take screenshots or record a video.
  • Create your own simulations easily with up to eight different particle colors.
  • Each particle can exert attractive and repulsive forces on the other particle colors.
  • The simulations can be saved to the computer so you can keep the simulations that you find interesting.
  • Simulations can be randomized which can yield unexpected results and help you discover new artificial life forms!
  • Adjust different simulation settings while the simulation is running. The settings can have a large impact on how the simulation evolves!

This game is heavily inspired by Jeffrey Ventrella's "Clusters" and "Boids" by Craig Reynolds.

The game uses compute shaders which might not be possible to run on older hardware. Please try out the demo before purchasing the full game.

Very cool game. For suggestions: could you add an option that makes the borders loop back around to the other side so the particles don't get stuck on the edges all the time. Also it would be neat if particles could "react" with each other to make other particles. And if particles could both be made to disappear over time and spawn continuously in the simulation.

Needs a little more to it, but otherwise a solid idea. Bit short as well, however the aesthetic is really nice. EDIT: To the dev my advice would be to read a book or two about core game play loops. Thats what you are missing at the moment, there is a loop but its not a satisfying loop. And once you get that in (And have the player doing something) you will probably generate some interest in this, rather than it just being an interactive wallpaper :)

This is pretty fun, but has some issues here and there. It's definitely worth the small price for a bit of fun. After a while, for some reason, it became unplayable. I can't drag forces from particle to particle anymore so I can't create anything. I can probably fix it, I just haven't bothered yet. Don't let that stop you from getting the game, I think you should.

Good fun. Could we have a way to change the number of individual particle colours please?
