This barebones beat-em-up captures the Asterix and Obelix aesthetic beautifully with solid graphics and animations that fans of the franchise will appreciate, and it works well in local co-op. However, players find the gameplay highly repetitive with poor sound design, overly busy screens that encourage button-mashing over strategy, and ultimately lacking the depth of modern beat-em-ups like Streets of Rage 4, making it best suited for casual players or franchise fans rather than adults seeking substantial content.
Old school Beat'em up. Don't expect much. It is really barebones, but if you play old games like Golden Axe and similar, and you liked it, you will like this one too. Best play in coop.3 found this helpful
The most 90s run of the milf beat-em you can play with an Asterix and Obelix skin on it. Don't expect Streets of Rage 4 or Shredder's Revenge because this ain't it but for what it is, is alright. The Visuals are easily the best thing about it since they capture the Asterix and Obelix aesthetics from the comics almost down to a tea.1 found this helpful
This game is ok for kids, but not a lot of fun for adults: it is super repetitive, sound effects are very poor, and screens get so busy with waves of enemies that smashing buttons often feels more efficient than any kind of tactical gameplay. The graphics are spot on, and it makes the game even more disappointing. If you're a fan of the Arcade game Asterix, and are expecting this game to be some kind of sequel, chances are you will be disappointed.
It's a half/half thing. Upside: Nice graphics and animations, fun for fans of Asterix and beat n ups. Runs great on the Steam Deck. Downside: Repetitive gameplay and also sound (the same sounds play over and over again). If you get a good promo go for it, otherwise in my opinion is a waste of money.
Final Fight ala Asterix & Obelix
+ Very nice graphics and animations, true to the films + A wide variety of moves, opponents and levels + Very enjoyable in local co-op
