Absolutely Love this game! Anyone who enjoys games like silent hunter or Uboat, but thought "I'd like a game like this, but with a battleship" will love this game. It is not finished yet, but even despite that, there is still plenty to do. Some to the best gaming money I've spent in a while!

This might very well be IT. I've been looking for an immersive surface ship simulator for decades. GNBNA was great back in the day, and is still fun to play occasionally, but the odd bug tends to ruin the experience now and then. Dreadnought filled the gap left by GNBNA, but nto quite, since it also was bugridden. after that... maybe Ultimate Admiral, but again, bugs and sometimes clunky UI... you get the picture. And I still remember being able to walk the deck of the Tirpitz in Call of Duty. That felt great. So now this. You can walk most parts of the Deck of the Scharnhorst, aim your guns manually - which works quite well once you get the hang of it. I'm only wondering: Why the Scharnhorst, not the Bismarck or Tirpitz? Maybe they'll join later, this is still in EA. The graphics are quite nice, while not great. But so what, this is about gameplay and immersion, right? I'm still used to the GNBNA visuals from over 30 years ago. The sounds are okay, but improvable (still: EA). If a worthwhile campaign is added with a decent replay value (please, don't be linear!), with maybe medals or ranks, impact on the war or whatnot, and hopefully also different playable ships (Bismarck an…

I finally took the plunge on this game/sim. First off, it's early access, so a lot more to come. But, what is here is very fun in my opinion. I love WWII though! Also it's made by Microprose, so I don't think it will be abandoned. I'm doing the tutorial at present and having a blast! I love the atmosphere and music of the period. Graphics look pretty good for what it is but the ships and landscape could be better. But again, it's early access and they've stated all of that will be improved in the future. If you're a fan of Uboat and Silent Hunter III, I think you'll feel right at home with this one!

It took me 76 hours of play to really understand how to play Battleship Command. So, a couple of things... Don't show broadside even to Destroyers and when fighting a night battle don't forget to use star shells and searchlights. There is also a radar station that I discovered works really well at night when you are searching for targets. It took me forever to realize that star shells are fired from the secondaries once they are loaded. Also, get away from auto fire learn how to aim and fire manually. You will be much better than the ai. It currently can't hit the broadside of a bullet with a barn unless it is very very close. Another thing it took me an embarrassingly long time to discover was that you can fire both the main artillery and the secondaries from the main fire control. Anyway, there is currently no campaign mode and I'm sure quite a bit of other features and missions be added later, but for now it is completely playable with no game breaking bugs that I could find and you can even create and share missions via the Steam Workshop. Overall, this is a very fun game and the Devs did a fantastic job showcasing the Battleship Sharnhorst in all its glory.

This is really cool ... from someone that has a lot of time in Uboat, I figured this would appeal to me. Glad the geometry of naval warfare in that game translates, naval warfare like this has a learning curve.... That being said, I just completed the first campaign mission. Keeping the task force in formation and got ahead of the enemy convoy, to meet them at the T in front of their vector and completely destroy them. Was a lot of fun. I hope this game sees the same level of success uboat did and can expand on features and what not. Highly recommend.

Its ambitious, but the vibe is spot on, the scale is believable, great lighting, music is outstanding.
