Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes puts you in command of a desperate fleet of survivors fleeing the Cylon forces, where you'll manage resources and crew through real-time tactical space battles across multiple runs in this roguelite. Each decision impacts your fleet's politics, morale, and survival—from resolving crises like epidemics and infiltrators to upgrading ships and coordinating squadrons in intense combat encounters where escape is the only victory.
You command a fleet of survivors relentlessly chased by the Cylon Fleet. Each new run represents another desperate attempt to rejoin Humanity’s last hope: the Battlestar Galactica.Prepare, fight, and survive at all costs. So say we all. Fleet Management phases offer limited turns to prepare until the next inevitable Cylon assault. As the enemy draws closer, designate priorities to ensure your fleet’s survival:
- Dispatch expeditions to nearby points of interest for resources
- Allocate supplies and personnel to resolve urgent situations
- Upgrade ships for survivability and firepower
- Train crew to improve efficiency in and out of combat
The Cylon Fleet overwhelmingly outnumbers you. Each encounter is about survival, not victory. Fight high-risk tactical battles while your fleet prepares an FTL jump to safety.
- Coordinate frontline squadrons with powerful Gunstar strikes in real time
- Use Tactical Pause at any time to preview your attacks and enemy movements
- Create synergies to deploy enemy-specific strategies by leveraging your unit strengths and unique abilities.

Not sure if I like the Heroes vs Faction vs Faction FFA styled decisions, when all you do is just making it worse, often for single fates against many? But I remember the series was often the same, and you basically support witchhunts, or support the faith on that person. Being a fan of the series I watched decades ago, there is alot good too. The FTL carryover is mended well into something own. The graphic design feels a bit edgy when the space battles are rather simple 3d and the rest of the game has a different artstyle. I am sad to refund after my first run which ended aprubtly. Ofc I understand, that the game want me to re run now. Giving me Knowledge and whatnot to have an advantage in my next try. And funnily the BSG Meta supports and writes their own "this happened before" idea. Its in the fraking script! But when being simply dismantled in one "Boss Battle", while doing not too bad until then, feels a bit weak on the balance aspect. Why not incremently increase difficulty in battles and between, and not just kick the hell out of my Human fleshed a$$ in a blink!? I felt underwhelmed by that "end of the run" now. Being a BSG fan, I really wanted this game to be great!!......but besides the battles, the game is pretty lame. The storyline is just boring, doing task and reading way too much...returned it. I Hope we get a Homeworld or Company of Heroes style game in the BSG universe.1 found this helpful

its okay, but what's bs is only being able to recruit up to 5 civilian ships. Like come on it makes no sense that we're leaving behind a 6th ship or more after robots genocided the human species. Let us gather a 7th or 8th ship if we can rng the ship spaces enough. Like come on let me stack more ship resources and benefits you got like 10 new game struggle things just let us stack ships.
