Beeftacular is a fast-paced indie platformer that fully embraces absurdity while delivering surprisingly polished and addictive gameplay underneath its ridiculous premise. The game places players in control of an aggressive chunk of meat slicing through dangerous obstacle courses filled with traps, lasers, spikes, and enemies, all while trying to complete stages as quickly as possible. It immediately feels inspired by hardcore precision platformers like Super Meat Boy, but instead of simply copying those ideas without personality, it leans heavily into chaotic humor, speedrunning mechanics, and brutally short challenge stages that constantly encourage players to retry levels until every movement becomes perfect. The gameplay is built entirely around speed, precision, and instant restarts. Every level is designed to be completed quickly, often within only a few seconds once mastered, but reaching that level of mastery requires repeated attempts and careful memorization. Players use a combination of jumps, wall movement, ranged attacks, and melee slashes to destroy targets and survive increasingly dangerous environments. The controls are extremely responsive, which is absolutely nec…

This is a weak recommendation. The level design is not good, and most of the stages can be completed easily. There are sudden spikes in difficulty, with 2 stages requiring frame-perfect input. That said, it can be entertaining for those that like this style of game (if you turn off the elimination visual effects, which are highly disruptive). There are many achievements where it is assumed that the players want to spend quite a significant amount of time playing the game. For example, playing the whole game in one sitting 5 times, or creating and playing hundreds of custom levels. There is not really a point to do that. If I were to continue playing the game, I would have preferred trying to beat some records on specific stages, instead of going through multiple levels of varying difficulty. The custom level editor is leaning towards bad; it works, but for a game that has an achievement to create 15 custom levels, and another to play 100 user-created levels, I would expect more flexibility and ease of use, as well as some validation of whether the levels are completable before being published. By the way, some achievements require playing on a computer.
