Very good game! Pros: + Very interesting characters with tremendous personalities. Cassia, Faramud and Takate are amazing characters. + Very good storyline with choices. + Talking with different characters at your camp feels very personal and interesting. This game has outstanding voice acting. + Tactical battles with large number of units. + Amazing music. Absolutely loved it. Cons: - Character development is rather simple and straightforward. Not very deep or broad. I highly recommend this game if you are a fan of squad based turn based tactical battles games or if you are a fan of an amazing story, tremendous characters and beautiful music.

I enjoyed playing this game, since I played the first one and like the world of The Dark Eye. It does not make it easy, because you are not able to create your own character and to be frank, the main character (Cassia) is pretty hard to really like. Cassia is cruel, mad and megalomanic. Sure, she has a horrible backstory, but she is still hard to like. I prefered the first game for the story, the roleplay, the journey and so on. This game has easier battles that seem more streamlined. The character development is more streamlined, too. It was nice to see the characters from the first game again, even if they now play second fiddle to our main hero/villain. The gameplay was fun, it was also nice that you could find other mercenaries for you army and upgrade the ones you have through conquest. The story is okay, but nothing to write home about. I would not have liked it, if I hadn't played the first one. But when I came to ignore that the main character is a horrible monster and focused on the battles, it was quiet fun.

No playability issues...maybe because i "fixed" the first one.
