SUMMARY OF THE GAME:Journey through Edo Japan as you fight enemies and bosses. Explore dungeons to save Japan from demon lord Oden in Blade of the Yokai. You'll play as Katsuro, a teenage boy who lives a peaceful life in Asahi village. Help katsuro defeat demon lord Oden and help save his world and Edo Japan. EXPLORATION IS KEY:Blade of the Yokai is designed around exploration in the world of Edo Japan. You'll travel across a few big regions: The forest, the coast, and the mountain. Each region has a dungeon for you to beat. You'll also have plenty of secrets to find if you look hard enough. Fight all kinds of enemies such as the Slime, Cyclops, Fish, Octopus, and Bamboo through out your journey in Edo Japan. Find chest and weapons to help you defeat enemies and bosses helping you get closer in saving Edo Japan. USE YOUR WEAPONS WISELY:As you progress through the game, you'll find new weapons that you can use to fight the enemies. You will also need to use those weapons to unlock new ways to explore. Use the Ninjaku to shoot fire and break wood in your quest through the world of Edo Japan. Use the Shuriken as a long rang weapons to reach objects and defeat enemies. Use an Axe to break rocks in your exploration through Edo Japan.HELP OUT THE VILLAGE:Asahi village will have side quests from villagers who require your assistance. Lend them a hand, and you will get rewarded with credits and some exciting rewards as a thank you to help you through your exploration in Edo Japan.

For a first release, this game is nothing but fun right out the door. There are some quirks, here and there, but the developers do appreciate feedback and are completely willing to improve the game with positive feedback.3 found this helpful
The game have many problems in the game design. The World is to big, if you can only going very slow with the Charakter. Often the world feels copy and paste and I do not know where I am. If I should go to village XY, I need in this big world a Marker or Names on the map. I should pass a red door and than I should come to the village, but there was a very big area with three locations with houses. Not one was the villiage, which I schoukd find. A little bit sad for me ist that I couldnt speak with every Villager in the game. I like the japanese vibe, but for me is it unplayable, because I have not enough Orientation and the world is to big with copy and paste elements with the slow movement speed. I need Checkpoints or Speed ups Items or something and Names on the map for locations or a mark with a Quest System. The Idea for the game is good but the game design is not balanced
