Botanica is a short 2D side-scrolling adventure-platformer that puts you in a world of living plants. Fight and think your way through platforming and puzzles, and test your combat against a variety of enemies and bosses. Utilize the power of seeds that enemies drop to grow and obtain their own abilities, and uncover secrets abundant in this sprawling world.

- 2D melee combat and snappy movement. Jump, dash, and climb your way around unique and challenging platforms. Hack and slash or fight from a distance with a variety of different weapon variations.

Looks charming, music is nice. However, buggy as hell for a small game that has been out for a year. Mouse and Keyboard controls do not work, no matter what buttons I would set weapon wheel, it would not register inputs. Even though it works on controller. Language setting broke halfway through my playtime. Pop ups and input bubbles became untranslated and fiddling with settings didn't help. Input settings reset to default option doesn't actually work and doesn't register being pressed. Mouse inputs do not register in the menu at all. Overall, probably would have enjoyed it, but decided not to bother after seeing all the hoops I'd need to jump through to play it in a way I'd like to. Play it if you can look past these issues.1 found this helpful

plant fight plant then worm the void then icy child then a robot then god i think. really fun hard and the ice abilty is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken
Really cool game, it has a nice art style, fun combat, and good bosses (for the most part), there are a few janky things, like the spinning platforms in the fluffy section. but overall a nice experience. the lag is sometimes there, but rarely. except for one boss. Irene cool bossfight for the most part, until you get to the second phase. She covers the whole screen in black clouds and it lags the hell out of your computer. if you want to beat the boss. try to hit them during their openings, and avoid the attacks. AND PRAY IT WORKS. That's the only giant flaw I had with the game. and it isn't that bad (cue hornet quote) I do also wish there was a button on the pause screen to quick die because you have to no hit bosses for achievements. Overall, a neat game with a cute art style, and nice music and bosses
Loved the game ever since the demo 10/10 story
