About Botany Manor

Botany Manor is a first-person puzzle game set in a Victorian English manor.

It's 1890, and you play as botanist Arabella Greene, who is working to finish her botanical research book 'Forgotten Flora'.

Explore a complete historical English manor and its grounds, researching how to grow rare plant specimens from seed.

There are many rooms and gardens to discover, all set inside a beautiful countryside surrounding.

The manor is filled with mysterious clues for you to discover, including books, posters, letters and fascinating Victorian contraptions.

The plants you grow are fantastical, but still inspired by real phenomena in nature, so some of them require you to think outside the box. Using what's available to you in the manor, you must create the ideal conditions for each plant.

Room by room, you learn more about the life and career of Arabella, and the challenges she faced as a woman navigating her scientific career.

Botany Manor offers a relaxing and peaceful environment, feel free to stop and smell the roses.

I finally got around finishing this game and really liked it! The art style is pretty, I like the puzzles and how you explore the house to find all clues and how all is related. Also the back story of the main character and the kind of subtle message it leaves at the end. Would nice to have a DLC in the future with who know 3-6 new flowers.

I was a bit unsure reading some of the other reviews, saying it wasn't worth it or it was too short or what have it, but I'm so glad I didn't trust any of them. I wholeheartedly, absolutely, loved this game. I'm not usually a puzzle game doer, I like brainless, occasionally challenging, repetitive tasks, games like Stardew or Little Witch in the Woods. When I saw this one in a TikTok I thought the graphics were beautiful and the premise was interesting so I took a chance. Well frickin worth it. Things I loved: The graphics, ohmigoodness they were so smooth and pretty and vibrant The story. I seriously didn't think I would get so attached to Arabella, especially considering she's faceless and voiceless, but you learn so much about her and her life and her goals and past. I also greatly adored how Arabella is in her fifties, that stood out to me as someone used to young, sometimes childish protagonists. She is well studied and passionate and has endured, and you can see that as the game continues. I found myself sometimes having emotional reactions to the old letters you find, she really is well shaped. The music was soothing and I did like how it changed and shifted for certa…

I really love the graphics and the story line. I have played intermittently due to the motion sickness this game causes. I know from reading reviews from others that a lot of people have the same problem with this game. I have made all the adjustment suggested in the motion sickness settings and it still is too much for me to play for more than 10 minutes or so at a time. I have also tried playing it on my SteamDeck; It has the same issue for me. This is the first game that has cause motion sickness for me. It is very disappointing because i want to play it!

This game is adorable, cozy and quiet. It was lovely to hear the birds and water while I explored the Manor. Good puzzles that take a little bit of time to figure out. I may have checked out a guide or two because I was so sure of myself, until I wasn't. A nice way to unwind and think a little.

A short but lovely game. While none of the puzzles are hard, I still thoroughly enjoyed piecing together the clues for each flower's growth requirements. I loved watching each of the flowers grow and the little changes they brought about to the scenery.
