Hey there I'm "aeiou", and I'm the developer behind this thing! For as long as I can remember I've been cursed with the ungodly affliction of "enjoying card games". Growing up, when I wasn't scraping together money to buy more packs I was playing videogames that offered the 'card game experience'. I fell in love with the adventure of starting from nothing, piecing together your first deck, fighting to get more cards, and then finally becoming a powerhouse duelist. I'm making Cardaire to capture that experience for my fellow cardboard enthusiasts.

Terrible AI. Fishing reward you for going AFK. Every opponents in the small tournament have the same deck. There is no map and no fast travel in a game where you're supposed to backtrack after finding keys. The cards are so basic you would think it's Hearthstone arena mode. I don't see any crunchy synergys other than buffing a guy with windfury. Incredibly mid game, hard pass. Edit : The worst point is the AI. The AI really bring this game down a lot for me. If the AI would actually be competent, I'd give the game a 7/10. Rn it's more of a 4 or 5 out of ten game, imo. The dev really nailed the visuals, the music and how the cards look. I'd give it a mixed if I could, I got stuck and very annoyed when I made the initial review.1 found this helpful
Well worth the $4 I spent while it was on sale. Getting all the achievements took me around 10 hours and I don't really expect to replay it any time soon as getting all the achievements allowed me to explore most if not all of the side content. The secret final boss was probably the only challenging opponent in the game for me so I'm hoping there are more difficulty spikes like that in the game's upcoming sequel. Overall, an easy, casual experience for those who like CCGs and RPGs.
Great game! Charming dialogue, unique art, and fun gameplay loop. The AI could definitely use some work, but it's definitely great for a Yu-Gi-Oh-like setting. It's a hidden gem and I hope the squeakquel has more eyes on it.
I had been looking high and low for more games like Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship for DS, a game where I just get to go through a story dueling, adding cards to the collection, and strengthening my deck, for forever. Here it is! I cant wait for Eternal Aces
I got all achievement in this game and I enjoyed it a lot. As someone who loves MTG, YuGiOh FM, and old YuGiOh DS games this game was awesome. The resource system is very similar to Lorcana from what I know about it, but it is great and a really fun game. Figuring out a good strategy and pulling a new card I could put into my deck felt great. Even after finishing the story, hunting for all cards and card backs was also a cool challenge in of itself, and rental deck tournaments and Grappler Format offer even more unique challenges if you want them. The game has a few issues. I got it on sale for 2€, the playtime is so short that I honestly would not get it for 10€. The fishing mechanic is really boring, and to 100% the game you need to spend a solid 30 minutes essentially being Afk with it. And the game is also really easy, with most opponents feeling like their decks are tossed together from random cards and the AI literally handing me games sometimes. The gameplay feels a bit slow, but that is mainly a result of the turn structure, which was also a strategic part of the game I really enjoyed. Despite these issues this was overall a really enjoyable experience. I had a ton of …
To short. Not worth the 10$ i spent, because i'm not getting that much out of it. Wish i knew sooner, like before 2 hours in so i could have gotten my money back. Felt more like a paid for long demo, than a full game at this point.
