Carmencarmen

short and sweet, worth a look or two, check it out

Carmencarmen is one of those games where I had no idea what I was getting into at first. I wake up on a beach with no memory of what happened, except I am somehow connected to this strange car made out of flesh and metal. From there I am driving around a weird post apocalyptic world, meeting some very strange characters and helping them with deliveries. It is a very odd setup, but I think that is exactly what makes the game interesting. The driving is a big part of the experience, although I would not really call this a driving game in the usual sense. The car handles in a loose and slightly silly way, and drifting is something the game constantly encourages me to do. It can take a little while to get used to because the physics are not especially realistic, but I think that works with the strange world. I enjoyed just driving around and seeing what I would find rather than worrying about getting from one place to another as quickly as possible. The characters are probably the part I liked most. I can stop and talk to the different beings I meet, and the conversations can go from completely normal to philosophical or just plain ridiculous. I also get choices in how I treat them, …
