TLDR; A very fun improvement over the first game. To start off, it is a much better game in almost every aspect than the first one. The levels are much more nicely designed with (mostly) a lack of horrible horrible mazes, and the objectives are more compact and straight across now. There are also way more save stations about, keeping you from ever needing to restart at the last level. The shooting and overall weapon feel is also better, and now makes you want to [i]actually[/i] use the pistols. There's also a wonderful shotgun now, and I couldn't be any happier about that beautiful inclusion (I just wish more ammo was given throughout). The negatives mostly come in the fact the game has such a lame and anti-climactic ending, where you kill 6 spongy floating things with big asses and then you get a screen of text that wraps everything up. I guess I was expecting more of an ending for a game released in a period where we didn't really have cutscenes and we didn't still yet have much voice acting. Very worthy sequel to the first game but the swimming can get annoying.I wasn't a fan of the last level to be totally honest but like 80% of the game is great also the story as with the first game was its strongest draw.

Decent shooter with classic 1995 sci-fi vibe.
