Promising early access roguelite ARPG, fun loop, rough around the edges

The good:

Addictive roguelite loop, clear zones, earn gold, spend it on permanent character upgrades.
Exploring zones to find new farming routes and unlock previously unseen areas feels rewarding.
Top-down view similar to Diablo 4, familiar and comfortable for ARPG fans.
Horde mode (unlocked via tokens found during runs) is a fun secondary challenge.
The skill tree looks expansive and promising.

The not-so-good (early access roughness):

Some zones feel unfinished or lacking content.
Skill tree has missing nodes / placeholders.
I personally encountered 2 bugs during my playthrough.
Combat animations can feel floaty at times.
One boss in particular had buggy animations.

Verdict:
If you like action RPGs mixed with roguelite progression, Clockfall is already enjoyable despite being early access. You can feel the potential, and the core loop hooked me. Just go in expecting some missing content and rough edges. Worth a wishlist or buy if you're okay with following development.3 found this helpful
Seems interesting, looking forward to how things turn out.1 found this helpful
I'm positively surprised by that early access of Clockfall. The story and the gameplay are working together with time and rewind mechanics. There's constantly that feeling of rushing everywhere before facing your nightmares again, but you're getting stronger the more you face them. Also nice animated cinematics. Very promising!1 found this helpful
This game is really , really good . Finally a breath of fresh air in the roguelite/roguelike genre that doesn’t follow some canned formula and actually reinvents the wheel with a novel gameplay hook . I haven’t enjoyed a game like this since I first played hades or dead cells . Everything is technically fluid , clean and responsive ..I really hope this one gets some press and spotlighting because it’s light years beyond much of the uninspired titles constantly coming out .1 found this helpful
Honestly, Clockfall is a hidden gem. I played for 2 hours and I’m already completely hooked.
the game is tedious boring and not worth the time it takes to enjoy it... pun intended there are many better versions and the fact game designers still do games like this blows my mind... imagine a world where people allow you to play their games and let you play in peace... not give you a game where you die which is never a good thing and you start all over doing the same thing over and over again..... save your money better games to play
