About Damascus Gear Operation Tokyo HD

Mecha Hack'n'Slash "Damascus Gear: Operation of Tokyo HD Edition", is now out on Steam with full HD graphics!
Ride in the Anti-RAGE Weapon System "Gears", destroy enemies, salvage for parts and upgrade your Gear, to reclaim the world!

Included in the PC version are all of the extra scenarios formerly introduced as DLCs in the PlayStation®Vita system release.
The "Hero Creation" mode, which depicts a new story after the end of the main story, has also been included!

Story

World War IV. A war by humans, with an ending that no humans had possibly hoped for.
The humanoid weapon system "Gears", which formed the primary battle force of any war-front,
went berserk on a massacre against humanity.
In a blink of an eye, most of humanity's civilization has been annihilated,
forcing the remaining survivors to live in underground shelters.
The berserk Gears were then called "RAGE".
Over time, humanity slowly regained control over several Gears,
and has now risen up to battle over the reign for the surface, against the RAGE.

It's Armored Core but even more anime and with an isometric view. I'm enjoying it so far.

Could forgive it for being brainless slop if they didn't put laser cannons on long narrow corridors with no way to dodge 5 minutes into a mission. The missions are fairly short, so 5 minutes in usually means you're at the end of the mission. No checkpoints means I have to brainlessly do the same thing all over again. Funnily enough, that turned my brain back on to uninstall this garbage.

Mediocre Vita game with almost no kbm support lul. Only play this with a gamepad / only buy it on sale. Meme game otherwise.

Fun and charming but definitely not super deep. I feel like if this game had been just slightly expanded on and some QOL features added when it was ported it could be great. I hear the sequel fixes some of the issues.

This appears to be a relatively competent game boggled down by obnoxious nonstop dialogue. Mechanically, it works well, shooting enemies, slashing them, changing out parts, that's all great fun, but where this game absolutely fails beyond all reasonable doubt is the NONSTOP POPUPS. Killed an enemy? Time for a popup! "You killed an enemy! Great job! There's 34563456 more!" Moved 5 inches? "You moved 5 inches! Great job! There's 983475634 more inches to go!" Tried to figure out basic controls? "You fired your gun! Great job! Keep firing it except when I pop up every time you do!" Gameplay is absolutely muted with these nonstop popup spam, you can't even learn how to play because every single action you do causes a popup dialogue. It's worse than 1999 Netscape internet browsing, and I simply cannot suggest a single person ever subject themselves to this, not even at -77% off for $3.44.

Simple game, on the edge to be just worthy of passing the time for mecha fans. Before playing on any capable pc, lock this game`s max framerate to 60fps, otherwise itll be too fast and wonky. But even this fix makes so it feels like it lags too much when there are too many things spawned at once and with some attacks that hit multiple times, wich is weird cause it should just lock at 60fps, not drop the framerate when those happens, but atleast its more playable. Its a very simple ARPG wich suffers from repeating the same maps alot, the gameplay is simple and bigger number makes the better pilot in it, also you can spam 99 healing kits so you can facetank alot that you otherwise should not. Passable game, worth if very cheap on sale, but if you wanna try this series on Steam you can skip this entry for the next one "Operation Osaka", wich is still a flawled game but overall is a little better than this one.
