DashBored's music and pixel art is really charming and the overall gameplay is pretty easy to understand. The characters and overall design of many things were really cool, the dialogue was also really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny. It does take a good couple of playthroughs to get the full story and endings, but even so that just adds to the replayability. I really loved this game a lot and was glad I was able to finally take the time and sit down to enjoy it. Thank you Karbonic for these amazing games and I hope to enjoy more soon.

You probably got here from Psychopomp like I did and if you're looking for specifically that same feeling again. You'll likely get a similar charm to that game like I personally did, there's similar character designs, music, worldbuilding and etc which is all there if you're into that. Personally though I think this game is much much more interesting in the perspective of seeing someone's roots and where they started out. This game has alot of that 'this is my first time making something like this' feeling to it but that's not a negative I find that really charming. It's an interesting thing to see someone who you know made something so atmospheric and rich in storytelling and meaning make something so comedic and fun. In practice though, it's a short maybe 4-8 hour rpg (depends on how completionist you are). The gameplay is fairly basic but it's absolutely enough for the length and there's quite a bit to chew on with side content. The story is a slight mixed bag with some parts that feel like a slight time waste and things that really elevate the story when you begin connecting the dots and digging into it. Really overall i think it's a surprisingly STRONG start for a developer…

If you like RPGmaker games, or Undertale, you'll probably like this. It's a pretty good RPG. You could probably get it finished in about two sittings. It has good spritework and music, and it's definitely pretty interesting to think about its story. I do enjoy the cast of characters. You can tell a lot of love and care went into this game, and I hope this game can inspire people. That's what I gathered from it, anyways. Give it a chance, try to meet it where it's at.
