Andromeda has seen quieter days, and it’s up to you to take the reins of one of many civilizations, and guide it through the many hidden dangers in the galaxy. Dawn of Andromeda is a pausable, real-time space 4X game focused on providing an accessible, fast paced, fun and immersive experience that allows you to truly play as an Emperor. Build your empire, colonize new planets, interact with other factions and characters, research new technologies and build fleets so powerful, your enemies will tremble.Explore a galaxy filled with diverse factions, outlaws, merchants, pirate clans and mercenaries but also anomalies, black holes, ancient artefacts, ruins and much more. Arriving in a new system may provide new opportunities, or open a new can of worms.

- Reduce micromanagement by appointing governors to your colonies and council members to your empire, all of whom can be levelled up. Each come with their own unique traits, happiness and experience.
- Multiple, customizable victory conditions and AI behaviors, changing how each faction operates and making for unpredictable friends and foes.
- Research incredible technology, from weapons so powerful they can destroy an entire planet, to Dyson Spheres.
- Explore ruins, anomalies and much more. You may even find artefacts you can study, projects you can start and come across interesting events and quests you can take on.
- In-depth diplomacy system. Make allies and enemies, but beware, each action you take can change how the rest of the galaxy will view you. Destroying an entire planet, or just praising or denouncing another race, can have a deep impact on the balance of the entire galaxy.

On Paper it has all it needs to shine, but it lacks the feel of like a soul. There are more and better games out, and even on sale its not worth it. The game feels empty, on all places, the building, the fighting, the exploring. There is plenty todo but nothing feels like its worth your time. I would rate it a 3 of 10.1 found this helpful
I was initially going to give this game a positive, if mediocre review. However, I just discovered something absolutely unacceptable for which I must give this a negative one. This game is a more basic and more boring but more visually-appealing version of Galactic Civilizations II. There are other games like it so it isn't groundbreaking or anything, but it was enjoyable. What I realized though is that, either by incompetence or by design, the devs updated the game to cheat against you. What I mean is, the Subterfuge DLC update. I personally didn't buy it, as I found the content wasn't worth the price. But the systems are still implemented into my game, just not for me. The AI can freely steal my tech and send spies to my systems, but the functionality is disabled only for myself. Basically, the devs gave the AI the DLC for free so they can cheat against me until I buy it too. Somehow they managed to make a single-player game against AI - Pay 2 Win. Perhaps one of the only examples that exist in the industry today, if not the only one. Until this decision is reversed, which I doubt it would after so many years, I cannot in good conscious give this a positive review. There are…
This game is honestly a little bit generic for the genre. It isn't necessarily terrible, but there are considerably better options. When games within a certain genre tend to bleed together to this degree, I generally tend to only recommend the best - and this one, while not bad, isn't the best in the genre, either, and it isn't unique enough to stand out.

Looks interesting, but the font is so tiny it makes it difficult to play, sorry.
