Dead Space™ 3

Love the two previous DS but as I started the game, I knew I wasn't going to like this. The story is nice and ties everything together. But the graphics? 1 and 2 still holds up but 3 looks bad to put it kindly. Remaking the bench was a stupid idea as well as the trouble of just upgrading weapons. The beeping annoyed tf out of me and found out 90% of the way that it was responding to the scavenger bot (at least the thing is cute). I really wanted to like this game to the point I can excuse some things but it's hard to defend something that's slapping you across the face. As a fan, I'd say play this game but on easiest settings. Non fans need not bother because you will regret wasting your money and time. At the end, it felt like a chore to finish it and the cherry on top is the DLC to get a "better" ending. Will play the remaster tho.

Played 3 hours with a friend, got through one of the worst sections in this game which we both absolutely hated. We had to get off so I saved and exited. We reload the save after a while and find out it never saved our progress. As a dead space fan, this dissapoints me greatly

The story is alright and makes sense according to the lore so far about what happened and why but idk the decision that they thought was good to go with this game. Instead of the horror and dreadful game that this franchise began, it is now shooter game with almost no horror or jump scares at all. It is designed for a co-op playthrough and no meaningful balancing for solo play. I have to frequently lower the difficulty to normal in ambushes and boss fights and trust me it is very infuriating to do not because of skill issue but because the devs made this IP lose its identity. Seriously EA, just why do you keep abandoning your IPs that have potential and direct them straight to the gutter? I'd only recommend if you care about the lore and keep the difficulty on casual or normal else you are in for a very frustrating ride. 5/10 from me. P.S.: I haven't finished this game yet (62% so far) but I just have to get this off my chest.

The game clearly differs from the previous two games, necromorphs are much faster, more focus on shooting, but it is still unmistakably a Dead Space game. All the good parts are here and now you also can construct your own weapons. It's clearly a more ambitious game, impressive set pieces, more places the story takes place in. Game still looks very, very good in 4k. One drawback is that the final destination is shamelessly padded, but that is not really a big deal and does not detract much from the experience. Overall it is a great game. I'd say on the same level as the other two games. Yes it differs, but do you really want to play the same game three times over?

This is a game even a newbie to PC gaming will be awestruck. This game will also help understand how ambient sound effects enhance gameplay and experience. Of course you need to be a horror-survival game fan to appreciate this game. All in all, this is a game you will enjoy playing over and over.
