Players praise the game as fun, mindless zombie-killing action with solid PC performance, though opinions on the protagonist's characterization vary. However, the game is hampered by significant technical issues including save file corruption that requires manual fixes, freezing at the end that prevents completion, and other unresolved bugs that have never been patched despite being widely reported.

Great game but just freezers at the very end making it impossible to complete the game.
Other than the recent dead rising 1 remake this was the last good main entry dead rising game. It runs well on PC but it has some really annoying save issues that never got fixed for some reason. Every time I boot this game up my progress gets *erased*. Going into the game files and deleting DS3.ProfileLastSave will fix the issue assuming you didn't start a new file and write over your previous save. However it's really annoying having to do this every time and kind of crazy that such a known issue never got fixed. If you don't mind handling that, the game is very fun mindless zombie killing and on sale you can get the game for like 5 bucks.
Why is the mc such a loser in literally every cutscene. It absolutely couldn't be made nowadays either is a deranged goofy game but fun.
