The campagin is completely broken in 2026, due to a bug you can't progress past the prologue. After doing the first mission: 'escaping from the cops,' you return to the main menu and have to do the same mission again. Tested on both my Windows 11 PC and and with a friend who also runs Windows 11. There are other bugs with DPI, high resolutions, very wide resolutions, but if you press ALT+ENTER and play in Windowed mode it is OK-ish. The multiplayer does still work, if you and a friend are both online, enter a lobby code and press join at the exact same time, bit fiddly but OK. Car progressions in the multiplayer also still work. I understand this is a very old game, evne the steam version is 12 year old. In my opinion this game should come with a warning so that people understand these problems.

This is a poor remake of the original 1996 Death Rally, but on itself it's a nice arcade game for about 10-15 hours of gameplay. Replayed it twice, had fun both times.

Remake of the cult classic! Achievements are unobtainable grindy, but game is nice for top-down car rampage.

Death Rally is a decent combat racer, with good racing, variety, destruction and content, but it is massively dragged down by flawed design, weird physics, poor progression, and RNG-based racing. Controls could be better, sometimes you get stuck on nothing, and some tracks are borderline unreadable. The races are ultra-fast, less than a minute, but sometimes the "boss" of the track is fast enough to open an unreachable distance in the first lap unless you manage to get nitros early on. If you really want to win, you better pray to get some Nitros, if the boxes do not contain Nitro, you're done. Never played the original, so I don't know how it compares, but it's fun for a few hours, and it's dirty cheap, but don't expect it to blow your mind, it's just fine.

Freaking Awesome Remake! I loved the original and played it for HOURS when I first got it, but the remake really kicks butt. Bloody Addictive!

It's Death Rally with different graphics. The changes they made are mostly on the upgrading and unlocking part. Gameplay is same as in original DR, this includes the bad as well. Meaning the AI still cheats. You won't be driving alone ever as the AI driver will simply speed up to catch up to you if you are lonely. At the time of writing I haven't beaten the "Advesary" aka final boss because its pretty frustrating experience. Firstly, it's random when you get to go against the final boss, this means driving bunch of races where you get nothing out of them since you are maxed and can't use money for anything. Secondly, once you do get to race the final boss, he's just clearly overpowered and luck plays a role if you can beat him. You can forget about beating him by driving, you must kill him. The problem is, he is just straight up faster than you and hitting him with weapons (which normally slow down cars) don't slow him down either. So here comes the luck part, you must break open these wooden boxes that are on the track and hope you get Boosts from them. You can get ammo, boost or money from them. You need both ammo and boost. Boost to firstly even to catch up to the boss, and th…
