Vast improvements have been made since the 2K3 original. Much more polished and complete. This feels like the game the developer had envisioned in the first place, but perhaps didn't have the tools to convert at the time. Challenging, yet rewarding. Heavy on lore, should you seek it out. Curiousity and mystery follow you around as the darker parts of the narrative reveal themselves. The soundtrack sings and matches the mood the entire time -- great experience.1 found this helpful

This game was such a treat from beginning to end! I was really immersed with the environments and atmosphere accompanied by the subtle tones and music. It's a very comforting game yet feels tense at the same time, but executed just right! There is a lot of accessibility and polish to the game, you can tell the developer really put his time into it and loves his craft. Deluge is a must play for those that love RPGs, some horror-esque tones, and a great story!
I just beat Deluge, and wow, what a great experience. I was so blown away by a multitude of things from the character models the sprites yes but really the close-up shots, the small bits of voice acting, the side quests, the music and the battle system. There was so much heart that went into making this and it really really shows. The biggest attraction to this game for anyone reading this and still trying to figure out if this is for them but I was quite surprised to find out you had a choice to play as good or evil. Because of that there's multiple endings as well. I took my time and assumed I did everything and yet I still missed some steps/things. So there's a lot of replayability stuffed into this!!
The pacing is good and the RTP style graphics actually add to the game, which was something I didn't expect. So far I've been having a good time!
