I cannot recommend this game. I could not even bring myself to finish it. Cons: -The English is dreadful. Since it is part visual novel, it should have made more effort in this area. The protagonist running around randomly using slang such as "cuz", and the text contradicting itself made it hard to take anything seriously. -The combat. Combat consists of spamming your selected skill, and running away to heal yourself. Attacking normally deals too little damage to be of much use. You also have to keep your companion alive. -The AI. Watching your companion kill himself by standing still with monsters next to him gets frustrating really quickly. I know you are supposed to build structures that distract the monsters, but your companion is often more annoying than helpful. His purpose is to be cannonfodder, but he is bad at it since he isn't expendable. -The grind. When you progress far enough into the game, you have to start grinding previously won chapters to get EXP in order to level up and win future chapters. The combat isn't fun enough to warrant this. -The lack of content. There is little in this game that would justify calling it an RPG. You play as one character, there is no…15 found this helpful
Yikes! This game really needs some work. The options you have are sound volumes, nothing else. Stats really don't seem to do anything. Aiming is pointless (there's a pun), because even clicking directly on any mob, you tend to miss and shoot into a bush or wall. If you get this game for free, go ahead and give it a hot second, otherwise bypass this one.5 found this helpful

Corrupted sure looks like a Diablo style action RPG, doesn't it? Well, you'd be wrong. This is a lame 2D/iso/top down wave survival shooter/brawler with a Diablo skin on it and some very light RPG themed progression elements (unlocking new attacks and stats for subsequent waves, but there's no roleplaying here, it's just a top down wave survival game). You get a few bits of absolutely awfully badly translated dialogue (laughably bad), then you're dumped into a single screen arena and you kill the monsters that spawn in each wave. Kill them all and you move to the next level, that's all there is to this, it's incredibly shallow. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint/"Baby's First Wacom Tablet" style drawings I've ever hurt my eyes on. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result of these deci…3 found this helpful
Corrupted is a compact, action-focused RPG developed and published by Juvty Worlds, offering a straightforward but satisfying blend of hack-and-slash combat, progression-driven character building, and stage-based mission design. Rather than chasing the open-world or narrative-heavy structure common to modern RPGs, the game embraces a streamlined, retro-inspired formula built around combat efficiency, mechanical clarity, and repeatable gameplay loops. Its premise is classic fantasy—dark forces have overtaken once-peaceful lands, corrupting creatures, environments, and magical energy, and the player steps into the role of a lone warrior charged with purging spreading darkness. The storytelling remains intentionally minimal, functioning primarily as a thematic frame rather than a central gameplay pillar, allowing the action to take full priority. This direction makes Corrupted immediately accessible, even to players unfamiliar with the genre. Gameplay is built around a series of linear levels in which the player must defeat waves of enemies, gather resources, avoid environmental hazards, and reach designated objectives. The combat system favors responsiveness, weapon timing, and posi…2 found this helpful
Awful. Not worth the $1.99 I spent.
