Detective VR

sadly I can't recommend. For a modern VR title, it lacks ANY options for locomotion at all. You are stuck with teleporting, smooth rotation, severe "comfort vignette", and no option for seated play. I noticed within the first 10 minutes that controls from the guided narration in the tutorial section didn't match with reality (ie. - one time it said to reach and pinch toward the teleport points, but that didn't work at all, and instead you need to push the joystick forward to get the teleport line and point it toward the teleport point. not a huge deal, but just shows lack of polish.

To start, I want to say I REALLY wanted to like this game. I love detective games. The problem is this game sucks. ... hmmm.. that might be a bit overly harsh... but.. Since I can't even get through the first crime.. That fits. The voiceover is nice. The art is good. The design is OK, and works with what they wanted to present. Problem... err.. ProblemS: feels like student work, a concept build, or rushed job. 1: No settings options. Hell.. every UE4 store has VR option plugins you can add to any build. Rotation options: smooth, stepped, degree of rotation, speed of rotation, comfort setting for that black tunnel if you want it. This has ZERO. I don't mind forced teleport, if the game needs that to work. but for rotation, to have that black 'comfort' ring give you tunnel vision every time you turn sucks. 2: Buttons... sigh... again.. this is an easy polish thing. takes like 10 minutes to do in UE4. when your hand gets close to a button, it should shift to a pointing finger, not a claw hand. also, they should check the button's state. I wanted to love this game. I am a huge true crime buff. But I can’t. I couldn’t get passed the intro. At all. There isn’t ANY accessibility in this game if you have any disability. You are stuck how it is. You can’t move around. You can’t adjust your boundaries. Nothing. So if you are a wheelchair user, can’t move around freely or anything like this, don’t get the game. I’m sad because this game truly looked like fun. Sadly couldn’t play it.

I love the depth of this game so far ive played almost 2 hours in but i did enjoy many features in the game like the cork board and the camera mode ease and even the magnifying effect to inspect the items after taking pictures of them. I love that about it to not only did they make the scene they have the corkboard area where you can basically see the reactions of the people questioned. then finding all the clues was really fun if you forgot one clue like i did in the beginning it didnt matter but i think it did not matter because it wasnt an important clue. i havet enjoyed a game this much in a lil while! it was fun! we did a stream to check it out twitch.tv/bubblez2cute
