About Divine Legacy: Neo Amburia

Divine Legacy: Neo Amburia is a medieval-fantasy RPG where a young woman must save her childhood friend, who’s been pulled toward a dark fate. With little more than determination, she'll battle powerful foes, form unexpected alliances, and uncover secrets that could reshape the world.

FEATURES

  • A New Story, A New Path
Discover what happens when the villains win. This is the direct sequel to Divine Legacy, following the "bad end" of the original game and exploring how the world would have turned out if the antagonists succeeded.
  • Story-rich experience: While the focus is on gameplay, the narrative is woven into the experience. If you're all about action, you might find yourself skipping some dialogues—but the story’s there to enrich the journey.
  • Character-driven world: The world was crafted with the characters in mind, not the other way around. Their personalities and backstories are at the heart of the world’s design, making every corner feel connected to who they are.
  • Fast-Paced, Real-Time Combat
Engage in high-octane, action-packed battles with a unique Bullet-Hell combat feel. Fight enemies with precision and speed as you dodge and weave through intense encounters.
  • Multiple Playable Characters
Play as three distinct characters, each with a unique combat style. Choose the right one for the situation and swap them out on the fly for even more tactical options!
  • Crafting, Potions, and Time Management
Master combat tool crafting, potion brewing, and time-based shopping. Strategy and preparation are key to surviving the hardest fights.
  • Element-Based Magic System
Harness the power of elemental magic to dominate your enemies. Swap characters and use your arsenal of combat tools to exploit weaknesses for maximum damage.
  • Post-Story Content
The adventure doesn’t end after the credits roll. Unlock additional content and challenges that keep the game fresh even after completing the main storyline.
  • Silly Easter Eggs & References
Expect plenty of inside jokes and nods to games, movies, and pop culture. It's serious when it needs to be... and hilarious when it doesn't!
  • The Developer’s Journey
Developed by One PersonMade with a lot of caffeine, some sleep deprivation, and a healthy dose of stubbornness. It’s a labor of love — raw, imperfect, but filled with passion. If you appreciate indie games that wear their heart on their sleeve, this one’s for you.

Ok, so the dev reached out to me and offered me a key to stream this sequel of theirs. I felt it was decent enough to warrant me purchasing the game so my review would actually count. So know that I -did- receive a free copy, but then removed it from my account of my own volition and purchased a copy of the game with my own money for the express purpose of leaving a valid review. That's not saying this is a stellar game; it's honestly very middle of the road. But that's not a bad thing! Some things it does well, others it falters at, and overall it DOES manage to be entertaining. The only two real complaints I have about this game are the pacing is a tad slow (One cutscene had a character just walking for about 30 seconds) and the combat can feel...incredibly repetitive. Same four types of enemies. Same types of fights. Same strats to win. I'm about 25-35% through the game currently and they haven't changed one bit. It's not terrible, but it can get old quick. Other than that, the game is decent. OK story, but I feel knowing the lore/store of the first game isn't necessary, but it would make you feel less like 'huh? who? what?' Either way, it's on sale currently for a couple bu…

The game is a solid JRPG with an engaging story and memorable boss fights. The lengthy, visual novel-style intro may feel slow, but gameplay becomes fun and challenging once past the cutscenes. I personally love the iconic boss fights. Recommended for JRPG fans who don't mind a slower start.
