Duck Souls is a compact but energetic precision platformer that blends cute pixel art with demanding, reflex-driven gameplay. You play as a determined little duck on a mission to recover scattered eggs, a simple premise that serves mainly as a backdrop for a gauntlet of tightly designed stages. The game’s world is bright and playful, but the levels themselves are filled with lethal hazards—spikes, sawblades, rockets, fire, and everything in between. What immediately stands out is how brisk and responsive the controls feel. Movement is quick, jumps activate cleanly, and the dash—usable in multiple directions—is the game’s defining mechanic. This responsiveness is crucial because Duck Souls aims for a rhythm of quick deaths and immediate retries, pushing players to master each screen through repetition and sharp precision. Across its 100 levels, the game gradually ramps up its demands, layering new obstacles and shifting level layouts to test your timing and adaptability. While the mechanical toolkit remains deliberately lean—jump, wall jump, and dash—the level design extracts impressive versatility from these simple tools. Some stages require threading through tight spike corridors…

This was great! Fun little platformer, not too challenging but you can add a little difficulty by removing the checkpoints. Can't imagine anyone who likes platforming will regret playing this.

The game is fun, but also a bit stressful after awhile, remember to take breaks and you should be good. Edit: I loved playing this game, even though it was tricky sometimes.

I acquired this game via my homebrewed Vita thinking it was just trash shovelware but boy was I wrong. Duck Souls is a fantastic platformer with infinite replayability, cool hats, and funny messages. Needless to say I just had to buy the game because - I had fun - I respect the time the dev put into creating it - I wanted to support them Great game. Thank you for providing me a short, fun, and rewarding platformer. I look forward to purchasing your other two platformers here on Steam. Cheers.
