Gorgeous scenery, and beautiful combat.1 found this helpful
Gameplay matters. It always did matter. It was the only thing that mattered... or so I thought. It speaks for itself. This is AA quality (or nearly). Fantastic. No doubt the mechanics and the way things handle is better than many many games. Its enjoyable. The unenjoyable part - Dialogue. Horrendous dialogue. Immersion breaking dialogue. A very unlikable little girl with princess syndrome. Quite sexist too. I'll continue playing but I can only take so much of the "Awesome" immersion breaking dialogue from a self-centered-man-hatin main character. Which is YOU or ME. I can't stand MYSELF in the game. Gameplay does matter... But I have to love myself and I don't... in the game. So this has changed my whole thoughts on modern gaming. Get it on sale. I hate to do that from the fantastic developers but the main character is vomit and it really takes away from what this could have been.
I bought this following the reviews and it did not disapoint. I looking for something different of what I usually play. This game has a good gamepley interesting story and enogh changes of scenery that it does not becomes repetetive, the puzzle part is also fun to do and are not that complex, I completed the game in around 15hs, the story is well written and the voice acting keep the immersion.
I gave Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition a fair shot—about 8 hours’ worth—and while I didn’t hate my time with it, I also can’t say I’d recommend it. The story is solid and I genuinely respect what this AA studio was going for, but the gameplay just didn’t click with me. The biggest hurdle is how puzzle-heavy it is. I went in expecting more of an action-adventure, but instead got what felt like a full-time job as a puzzle intern. Some of them are clever, sure, but it ended up being more than I was looking for. Which brings me to the jank. There’s a noticeable amount of it—animations, controls, general flow—that makes everything feel a bit rough around the edges. All in all, I appreciate the ambition here, and I think there’s an audience that will really enjoy it. I’m just not that audience. If you love puzzles and can tolerate a bit of jank, you might have a great time. For me, though, this one’s a polite “no thanks.”
Great game. Great graphics and world. The story is good! Voice acting good. Gameplay enjoyable. I played in VR using UEVR and really enjoyed it that way! Got 23 hours in and the game started crashing almost every time I use the knife to cross long distances. You have to use it more and more so I finally just gave up. I'm close to beating it. I took my time and explored the world quite a bit. Like I said it's a great game. I think it's something with my hardware or drivers possibly...
