Epic Battle Fantasy 3 is a turn-based JRPG packed with absurdist humor, ridiculous weapons, and over 10 hours of content to explore with hundreds of items to discover. It's a completely free adventure that doesn't take itself seriously, stuffed with useless NPCs, feral cats, and all the over-the-top anime tropes you can handle.

Funny game with good gameplay. It's free, why not check it out? The games after this are paid, but they're also well worth it, they keep improving on the formula.2 found this helpful
good game, still as good as I remembered.
Nice and short game. Turn based RPGs might not be something everyone likes, but if you do this is certainly worth a try, especially concidering it is free. Now when it comes to the positives: You can see that a lot of efford was put into the game, and it seemingly builds on the previous games, however i haven't played those games so i can't say that for sure. The combat is quite interesting and not too repetitive, with the fights in general also having a nice balance of difficulty. However the negatives: The combat can sometimes feel quite weird and has some smaller issues, but for a free game it is something i can mostly look past it. The biggest issue with the game is the imature and outdated humor. The humor is certainly a product of its time and most of it is quite noticable. The story feels a bit nonsensical but that might be because i haven't played the previous games. And since the game is about 8-10 hours long with a single playthrough the pacing of the game can also feel a bit off, especially at the start. All in all however, the game is still free, so i would certainly recommend at least giving it a try.
So I decided to play through this old classic gem from the 2010s again because it was one of the game series I grew up with! And honestly... it aged, definitely, as a lot of the memes are hardly relevant today and are cringeworthy, but we love it for it. Admittedly, I find myself at a loss each time trying to find anything bad to say about the game, except for the end area where fights end up an exceptional slog with the standard mooks. But once you fight the endboss again
(Akron)
, it's actually a very enjoyable fight, if harder than the previous bosses. But once you max your level and a lot of the items, you should be able to take on anything easily. 9.9/10 thanks for letting me grow old with you :)
pretty cool
Epic Battle Fantasy 3 (2010) is the continuation of the EBF series after EBF1 and EBF2, now with emphasis on world exploration and character customization. This game absolutely brings back childhood memories to me, but even then playing it in 2026 still feels natural and fun. If you're expecting a heavy-combat game with different skills, customizations, this game is for you. Though, if you're expecting grand stories that might change your life perspectives, I think you may give this a pass. The story is not the major focus of the game, and I think you will learn that shortly after playing 1-2 hours. It's the simple "heroes kill villains and save the world" kinda thing. You have three characters, each with their own stats, skillset and equipment to choose from. You also unlock new equipment constantly, as well as abundant AP, which is used to learn & upgrade skills. There's a ton of combinations you can choose for your character, from learning different skills to trying out new cool-looking clothes. I do wish the character navigation in combat was more friendly though, you can't just switch them immediately like in future game. But that's a minor problem, at least. Combat is the…
