What is this game? It's basically a polished traditional roguelike with good interface, UI and visual presentation. Feywood Wanderers feels close to games like Tales of Maj Eyal or Dungeonmans, maybe Dungeons of Dredmor. It's definitely quite far in the direction of a Traditional Roguelike (thank god). Despite having extraction mechanics, I find it plays much closer to the above titles, compared to say, Quasimorph, where extracting materials is important. Also different to Quasimorph, each 'excursion' is much much longer. The extraction mechanics feel more like the stash mechanic added in Tales of Maj Eyal. This has a benefit of allowing you to squirrel away legendary items that fit builds you aren't currently trying. Although it can make builds a bit too easy to get online. Is it good? Overall, yes. There is definitely build variety. Varied biomes and enemies which require different strategies. The combat is not bump focussed which is definitely a big plus. I encountered very few bugs in my time with the game. All of which have now been fixed by the dev who is active both in the forums and with pushing updates. Slight negatives: Sometimes it can feel a littl…

this has to be one of the most innovative and FUN entries into the traditional roguelike genre of games I have seen in a very long time it deserves way more attention than it's gotten. If you're a fan of traditional rogues This might not be the most challenging entry you've played, but it's likely to be one of the most fun and is well worth the price tag.

10/10 game for sure! This game is like if Diablo and Traditional Roguelikes had a baby. If you are an achievement hunter for games, just keep in mind it will take a long time to beat it. I had done some cheesing to get some of the achievements. But I ended the game with a legitimate run without cheesing. One thing I think is really cool is some of the classes are loot drops or can be purchased with currency. I haven't seen that done before in games and I though that was cool. I also really like how the endgame dungeons force you to diversify your builds. Another cool thing is there are optional side-dungeons that give you better rewards and the loot you get from them might determine the direction you choose to take for your run. There are also zone specific loot drops. So choosing where to go to get certain kind of loot is cool. Goblin zone has a lot of physical damage gear. Dwarf zone has a lot of weapons for melee users. Haunted Marsh is perfect for if you want to get your chests and get out of the zone quickly but lose out on some currency/XP. Lair of Beasts is a perfect middle-ground. Quick chests. Lots of XP. You'll quickly come familiar with your favorite zones. The loo…

Quite fun and the dev is active in improving it. Extraction X Rogue since you have a stash and some friendly NPCs to trade with at the start of each run. Also has an item world mechanic for improving gear like in Disgaea which is cool since that series has really gone downhill but I love that mechanic. Apparently you can play it in a mode that is entirely roguelike called Lone Wolf but I like the safety net of accumulating resources for later runs and I can always not use any of it if I want the Rogue feel so I haven't tried it.

Doesn't work on the ROG Ally X gamepad, just pops up the skills radial menu endlessly until I switch the input to desktop mode, then the on-screen keyboard doesn't do anything. A Fortnite circle in a roguelike discourages exploration/planning and turns every floor into rushing to the portal and farming in the immediate vicinity. They should add in Chun-Li skins and dance emotes while they're at it.
