Very good survivor game with original and fun game mechanics. Sad this game isn't better known, as it clearly deserves more visibility.

It's the modern day version of Commando on NES. For all you youngins NES stands for Nintendo Entertainment System. It was the first "console" released by Nintendo back in the 80s. It's a great survivors or VS type game. Even though I think this genre is far to overdone this one definitely deserves a seat at the table. It has 5 different characters to unlock or use and they all have very different play-styles. Each character gets three different starting weapons which adds another level of variation to each run. It has meta progression, nostalgic graphics, a good price, decent game-play loop and tons of room for updates/additions. Bonus points for releasing yesterday and I haven't had a single bug or crash. That's what should be expected but in this day in age where everyone is a game dev triple A games can't even figure that one out. Thank you very much for making this game and I can't wait to see what's next.

Frontline Survivors is an absolute gem in the realm of intense shooter games with a delightful roguelite twist. What truly sets Frontline Survivors apart is its phenomenal soundtrack. It's not often that a game's music captivates you to the point where you're left wanting more, but that's precisely what happens here. The soundtrack, with its dynamic range and intensity, perfectly complements the on-screen action. It elevates the entire experience, immersing you deeply in the game's world. Each gunshot, explosion, and enemy encounter is accentuated by the music, making every moment feel epic. Frontline Survivors is a must-play for fans of intense shooter games. Its blend of relentless action, strategic gameplay, and an extraordinary soundtrack makes it stand out in a crowded genre. If the developers keep adding more content, especially more of that stunning music, this game will continue to shine as a stellar example of what indie games can achieve. Highly recommended!

This is a tough one to review, and I would like to give it an "okay" rating rather than a thumbs up or thumbs down. It's a fun survivors like, cool setting, and some decent ideas, but it is really light one content. At 8 hours in, I've got almost all of the achievements and unlocked everything. There isn't much actual progression other than unlocking new items, so once you've done that, there isn't a reason to play except for achievements. For $5, it's pricier than most other survivorlikes, especially for the content you get. But for $5 and 8 hours of entertainment, that's a better deal than you can get everywhere else.
