GeckoShop is a Sandbox Shop Simulator + Creature Collector, where you manage your own shop, selling all the different varieties of geckos!"Your dream of having your own Petshop finally comes true. Get cozy and have a fun time collecting and selling lizards, or grind hard and be the next millionare on this island!"You'll have to:- Deal with customers, set your own Prices.
- Keep the store clean and working, or get Employees to do it for you!
- Explore the small open-world city, with People to interact with, Quests and other things at every corner.
- Find Shells and ancient Artifacts on the beach to fill the museum, to unlock even more content as you go.
- Accept Quests from various NPCs on the island.
- Catch Thieves trying to steal from your shop.
- Decorate and upgrade your store, however you want.
Collect a big variety of different types and rarities of Lizards.
You can sell your pets, or turn your Shop into a zoo!There are hundreds of geckos for you to unlock, in 4 rarities. Through opening chests, mutating geckos in the Lab, Vending machines, and through sidequests.Buy and open different Boxes, to get random Geckos from that set, and if you're lucky enough you might even find a Super rare gecko.Upgrade, Decorate and Paint your Shop, however you feel like.
Hire Employees to assist you to sell pets and products, clean trash from your store, and catch thieves before they can steal anything.Keep your shop small or upgrade it to the maximum, make a giant warehouse full of rare items and animals.Collect Trophies to display in the Backroom of your Shop, to keep track of your Progress.Explore the City, Mutate Geckos, Eat burgers, Repeat.
The City is full of Surprises! Check out the Lab, where "Zippy Joe" made a machine to mutate 5 geckos into another one, and with some luck you might even get a Lab-exclusive gecko (very rare, they sparke in rainbow colors!)Go to the Wrenchshop, and talk with "Bolt" about upgrading your shop, or go to the Paintshop and let "Doodle" paint your whole Shop.Get yourself a Companion from the Petshop, or race against other geckos!And dont forget to get a Burger from the restaurant next to the Beach ;)Sidequests everywhere!
You might want to go treasure hunting, or collect shells and ancient artifacts to keep the museum growing.Or maybe you want to catch fishes all day long and forget about your customers!Sell your fishes to "Skipper", but don't worry, you'll see in your Collection which fishes you've already catched, and which ones are missing.

this game is NOT WORTH even 10 dollars. its a boring, plain, buggy mess that has the tiniest gameplay loop with really nothing to do outside of decorating, which isnt even incentivized in the slightest. all you do is buy lizard sell lizard, buy product sell product, level up to get decorations that do nothing, and the ability to gamble for better lizards. the models are not that good at all, the character customization really shouldnt even exist with how little options there are, and theres still a really easy softlock thats been in the game for ages. you can only GIVE change so if you give too much and your number goes into the negatives (REALLY easy to do with a misclick!!) you cant even check the customer out and are forced to exit back to the menu. i got this game for 16 dollars ON SALE ages ago, and now after seeing all this business about a geckoshop 2, and i wouldnt even give the devs the 10 dollars theyre asking for. this is just a total scam.3 found this helpful
Don't buy this game. For the developer to be still charging even a low price for a game they have admitted is essentially unplayable to the point of needing a remaster is absolutely despicable. This is tantamount to abandonware - the developer states that the "update" that "will fix the game" will be a free update, but that is yet to be seen, and then a sequel which is NOT free(?) even to players of this game will be releasing. Per discord, the dev is scared to release the game for free to people who bought the first game as it "could upset people", which is a very copout way to say he just wants more money from it. TL;DR: DON'T BUY THIS GAME, DON'T BUY THE SEQUEL, DON'T SUPPORT THIS DEV.2 found this helpful
DEVS ABANDONED AND IS MAKING A SEQUAL. DO NOT BUY. this game had a lot of potential but it was entirely ruined. The game is buggy, I am constantly having to save and reload to get things to stop disappearing or prevent wasting money. For 12 dollars, this game is absolutely a ripoff. I bought it when it was in early access and I thought it was going to be great, turned out it was just a cashgrab. Dont get me wrong, this could be a good game, but with the devs abandoning it to work on a SECOND game without even fixing the bugs in this one.... yikes..1 found this helpful
