Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island

This was a very enjoyable experience! I can't believe this game has 'Mixed' reviews. What an underrated gem! The good: * Background artwork is AMAZING. It really brings me back to the golden era of Lucas Arts games, which is no wonder, since some of the Lucas Arts people worked on this game, such as Bill Tiller, one of my gamedev heroes. * Voiceovers are very good, a bit cheesy at times though hehe * A lot of neat jokes and subtle references, Some jokes fall flat but for most I snickered * Love the whole going in and out of ghost modes thing, really opens up some unique gameplay elements I haven't seen used in adventure games before * Liked that you had to interact between the three characters to jointly figure out stuff. I was used to playing sole characters in adventure games so I often forgot to try out this method in the game though The bad: * There are some technical issues, I've experienced a few crashes, but nothing a restart didn't fix. * The most annoying thing is that you can't cancel any voiceovers... Every time you click something, you have to hear the whole thing, and I see how that can explain the low score of the game, it gets to be annoying. But you do …

Love the game ♥ Some times a few things were confusing. For running in window mode look in discussions, I have been using GP_launcher mode. It's as classical PCA as it gets I must say.

Game doesn't get past the first loading screen. Tried all the different solutions mentioned in community hub and discussions to no avail.

There is nothing horribly wrong with this game, but it's just so boring. Everyone talks very slow, you can't skip dialogue, you can't even cancel actions (accidently pressed something? you have to watch your character walk over to it and comment on it). The idea is pretty interesting, having three characters who are ghosts and have to help each other without ever swapping items or meeting each other for puzzles etc. The execution is just what is what's holding it back. The game is also highly inconsistent in terms of puzzles and gameplay. Very early on it's said you shouldn't walk on water as a ghost, because you'll sink to the bottom and never get out. Not much later two ghost characters just casually swim in the water with no problem. At another point a character won't jump down into the water in his mortal form, because the fall would kill him. 10 Seconds later he pushes two guards down into the water, who survive and then get mauled by killer fish. Absolutely the worst part is that the game started crashing at a certain spot in the game, and I almost gave up. In the end I fixed it by renaming “libpandadx9.dll” to something else. If you have to disable the game engine…

Buggy, awful, ugly, nonsensical. Can't believe this is from the same developer of Vampyre Story, which is still my favorite adventure game of all time.

I can kind of see what they are trying to do, but it still fall flat they try to be funny, most of the time they are not you get to wait a lot, loading of the are, cut scenes, walking to another part of the screen, anytime someone speaks just to mention a few the story is not bad, just boring only buy it if this is your genre, and it is more then 50% off
