About Guardians of Holme
In the distant past, the Demon King who nearly destroyed the entire world was sealed away by the legendary hero, and the demons were driven to the edges of civilization. As time went on, people slowly forgot about the agony and suffering during that period. One day, the dormant demons suddenly reappeared and marched toward the prosperous Royal City where the protection circles resided.
In the face of an onslaught from demonic legions, the player takes the role of a skilled artisan from Holme to lead the heroic citizens of the kingdom in defending their homeland. The player must combine their wits with a variety of traps to hold the kingdom's last line of defense.
If we falter, all will be lost.
- Monsters of varying types and powerful Bosses attack you from the air and the ground.
- Tailor your tactics to changing terrain and enemy types.
- Utilize different relics and build strategies to create the perfect deck.
- Place totems, set traps, summon guards, and cast spells to repel endless waves of monsters.
- Pause or speed up the game and implement the best tactics to overcome challenges.
- Expand your strategies by gradually unlocking and upgrading hero abilities and new traps.

I'm a bit of a TD fanatic, and I have to say, I think this game deserves a little more love than its gotten - its not an innovator by any means (actually kind of a knock-off), but I couldn't possibly give it a thumbs down because I got 20+ plus of enjoyment out of it, and there just aren't enough solid TD games out there to knock it. Its not a classic, but it scratched the itch for sure. Solid meta progression, more on the problem-solving end of the TD spectrum, but solid. If you can get it on sale and you love TD like I do, its a good choice to pass the time.
Balancing is off. Decent game at $5, though.
Ended up putting over 30 hours into this one. Overall a solid tower defence game with good progression and unlocks. The best? Nope? Copy cat? Maybe...but it just works. Recommend
This is a really good tower defense game. If you happen to like tower defense games and why would you be reading this if you didn't, this is a solid recommendation. You will definitely be getting your money's worth.
A number of bugs, lots of grinding. Some achievements don't work. Needs balancing.
Playable, but the game suffers from one major flaw: You are required to grind for stats. Several key stats are gated behind levels and currency gained AFTER losing a playthrough. At least 60% of your damage output is locked behind their grinding system. Took me 17 hours to beat the 'Normal' difficulty solely due to having the towers gimped at the start of the game. Actual gameplay is fun, being a tower defense. I haven't tried the other characters, but I'm too disgusted by the system to want that 15 hour grind. Overall Score: 5/10 (5 being average)
