About Gun Rage
Gun Rage is an old-school, fast-paced, side-scrolling run and gun, with 16-bit era graphics, inspired by greatest classic games of the genre.
Gun Rage is taking place in a distant future, where players take on the role of a smuggler named Axel Gunn, who got ripped off and nearly killed on one of the delivery missions.
Losing the cargo, almost getting killed and risking to get the reputation ruined, is definetely not something forgivable. Axel sets out on a path of revenge to retrieve the stolen and to crush anyone who dared to mess with him, incurring the wrath of a mighty, menacing enemy. True, terrifying powers of which, he could not imagine.

Decent visually Atrociously bad level design and combat. Also the dialogue is filled with typos, and conversations are exceedingly long without really being interesting enough to justify it. If you are interested in this style of game I would strongly recommend you check out these games instead... Blazing Chrome - 17$ or 7$ on discount Bleed 2 - 10$ or 3$ on discount Valfaris - 25$ or 9$ on discount all 3 are excellent, highly recommend.8 found this helpful
Pure atmosphere with a fast-and-loose play style, Gun Rage is proving to be a lot of fun so far. I haven't encountered any major design issues, and this game was obviously made with care and a specific vision in mind. I'm sure any possible issues will be addressed. Great art and soundtrack. An early thumbs-up from my quick dip into this tasty, violent, and gory syth-pocalypse.7 found this helpful
A fairly good game, not fully worth the price but I can say that it is at least worth 5$. The only big minus is the huge difficulty spike after the first level. I don't mind games being really difficult infact I love them, but when a game isn't that easy to get used with the controls you can't just throw in hardcore levels from the start. There should be a bit of a learning curve not just for 10 to a 100.6 found this helpful
Video (gameplay + commentary):
https://youtu.be/QI9LDd3roXo Pretty fun side scrolling run 'n gun. Definitely has a huge Contra vibe to it, except you don't die in one hit, you look like the Fonz, and your dude has a little more pep to his step and jump. Also has a great synthwave soundtrack and is hilariously gory. The game isn't without issues -- the controls are a little loose and the difficulty ratchets up pretty fast after the first level. Not quite sure where the story is going yet but the dialogue has some typos. Overall we would recommend it!6 found this helpful
Video review: https://youtu.be/4D-6Q6Q_m7M?si=N4yTmWTVHgDUJx1J TL:DR Gun rage is an incredible run n gun that any fan of contra needs to experience, graphically it is kind of ugly so I can see that being off putting but if you can get past that you will find one of the wildest games inspired by Contra ever made. The level design is loaded with blazing fast action and crazy set pieces all that end in some awesome boss fights. The controls are tight, the weapon variety is really solid, its got a rockin soundtrack, and the difficulty level is just the right amount of hard, I love this game and if you enjoy contra as much as I do, I think you will too1 found this helpful
Gameplay is fun and I like the grotesque-looking enemies you encounter in the game. Unfortunately the developer obviously did not proofread any of the dialogue during development because it is riddled with poor vocabulary. If you can ignore that glaring issue and are into side-scrolling shooters you will enjoy this one.1 found this helpful
