Story Background

In order to retrieve the artifact, Anze, the guardian of the temple, embarked on his own path of redemption… In Happy Poker, you can build your deck however you like. The shop offers over 50 different rule cards with various effects, such as removing cards, adding specific suits, including 2 wild cards, changing the suit of your cards, and more! You can even modify your deck with relics, making a deck with 10 Kings no longer just a dream!Rule cards and relics can also upgrade your card combinations—like Rocket, Full House, and Plane—to boost your attack power and deal explosive damage! The game features a total of 108 spell cards, each with its own unique function. There’s Healing Touch for restoring health, Energy Gift for drawing extra cards, Spell Shield to nullify enemy spell cards, and many more exciting spells waiting for you to build and explore.When choosing a character, you can even freely customize your starting spell deck, tailoring your spells to fit your character’s unique playstyle. There are 14 unique characters, each with their own skills and playstyles. For example, Angie can turn all 5s into wild cards, making it easier to complete various hands. Lulu, on the other hand, starts with only Spades and Hearts in her deck, and with the right relics or rule cards, she can upgrade her Flush/Straight Flush to deal critical damage with a single hand!More character builds waiting for you to discover! Spell cards can be enchanted onto your hand. If you’re out of cards and can’t beat your opponent, try enchanting your hand! Use skills to clear your hand, and it will directly let you win the round with an attack. You can also use spell cards to make your opponent draw more cards, disrupting their strategy. As with any roguelite, the game starts you off with a single unlocked character, while the rest remain out of reach. The path to unlocking them is clear, but progression is anything but instant—some characters demand serious dedication to unlock, with requirements that escalate the deeper you go. Each character brings unique perks that impact gameplay beyond just base stats like health and attack. Plus, the more you play with a character, the stronger they become, gaining permanent buffs to health and attack over time. At its core, the gameplay is a fusion of poker mechanics and strategy. Battles play out as a card duel, where you and your opponent take turns playing progressively higher cards. If you can’t beat the last play, you take damage. The real magic happens when you start forming poker hands. Pairs, straights, and full houses deal crushing blows that single cards can’t match. If you’re unsure about your best move, a handy tip button highlights optimal plays, keeping the game accessible while rewarding strategic thinking. Ehh, this game is alright. It has some polish issues. But I am not sure I can recommend it.
I don't like giving negative reviews, but I'm stuck in the tutorial, can't continue, and no response from developer.
