About Hello Stranger
Cam conducts his entire life from his electronically automated smart-home. Work, shopping, entertainment and most notably: socialising. Cam interacts with strangers on the platform Hello Stranger: a randomised video chatting application.Eventually, he encounters a masked stranger with an altered voice. Unnerved, Cam leaves the call only to find the stranger has hacked his smart-home and locked him in. The Stranger tells Cam that he must win three rounds of games or it is ‘game over’. Viewers must make decisions and play the 3 games for Cam to survive but one wrong choice could lead to a grisly end.This FMV psychological horror-thriller game features:
- Choice-based mechanics and mini-games including 10 unique endings.
- Two story modes: - Cinema Mode: Limited games that only function with decision-making system – closer to an interactive film experience.- Game Mode: All games available with a variety of gameplay systems – a full FMV game experience.
- Two game modes:- Timed Choices: A more immersive, pressured experience.- Paused Choices: For group play / audience participation during live streams.
- A graphic Story Tree of all possible narrative branches. These branches unlock as the player progresses through the pool of 4 hours of filmed content, 16 mini games and 10 endings which all need to be seen to understand the full picture of 'Hello Stranger'.

As a fan of FMVs it's refreshing to see a feminist take where sometimes women also get punched in the end. I understand reading this you might not have context but you will. Maybe. It's short, I'd get it on sale.2 found this helpful
BUT WHY WHY?!!!! This game was made in 2025 and yet, we GET ONE audio slider that controls ALL audio. This is such a flaw in today's games. As a lot of developers havent learned about audio-leveling. Or at least make seperate sliders for Music, Voice, Sound FX etc. SIGH SIGH. This game as many others lack above, so the Voice-actors were so low, but the MUSIC was louder whiich makes it impossible to enjoy.. :( Other than that a wicked small fun FMV game. Crazy story, a wide set of characters and great endings. It's worth several playthroughs. Just don't got for one.
Awesome game, with especially good cast! If you are into the choice making FMV games, this is definitely one to play!
I collect fmv games ad I enjoyed this one. I really like the main characters apartment. The set design is cool. You can unlock multiple endings so I'll play this again later and make different choices.
I didn't think the story was particularly strong. It's a small variation on something I - and probably most people - have seen numerous times. It is however always a huge plus when a game doesn't overstay it's welcome and at about 40 minutes for one playthrough it's very brief. What Hello Stranger did do well is, well kinda everything else. I was impressed by the production values. It looks very good, some good acting from the few involved and the script was decent. I was entertained for the duration.
I played this game two seperate times for different endings and enjoyed it each time! Hilarious FMV that had a bunch of replay ability.
