Hidden is an atmospheric first person point n click adventure with focus on story, exploration and interesting puzzles. Mechanics are good. The music is perfect for this game. My only nitpick is that it is too dark and can be difficult to see at times.23 found this helpful
An edit for the ages: After two PC and three? GPU changes, for some unholy reason I could play the game. Set win 8 compatibility mode, started from its folder, and it RAN. And I could play it through from start until the end, though I noticed that no achievements got unlocked, and couldn't make a screenshot. I hoped the achievements unlock when I close the game. They did not. And as I expected, or was prepared for, the game literally couldn't start up afterwards, not even a crash message. Tried compatibility, changing high DPI settings, running as administrator, checking file integrity, with steam overlay on-off, from steam, from the folder - nothing. It's an intriguing game now that I actually got to play it, has its ups and downs, but it's a really nice...first half of a full story, that never got made. All things considered, I'm one grievance shorter, but the review stays negative as a game should be able to be ran more than once. _________________________ old review: I give up. After about 8 restarts, the game crashed on me (runtime error) three different points in the starting room, within ~ 15 actions. One olf the worst out there. Full of glitches.
Kind of interesting but cheap and generic in the end. It's plagued with crashes (I had to download a save file in order to play the second chapter). It's really short, which isn't bad, but it's the first part of two, and it's been years since its release and there is no hint at all of the second part being worked on. The puzzle design is mediocre at best and there are some objects and puzzle solutions near impossible to get without help. Even if you love adventure games, you are not missing anything not playing this.
