"Horatio’s Life" thrusts players into an extraordinary journey that transcends reality, following the unexpected encounter of Akio, a young university student, with a visually stunning visual novel game. By a twist of fate at a game convention, Akio inadvertently purchases "Horatio’s Life" instead of the fighting game recommended by his friend Daniel. What begins as a simple mistake transforms into a gripping adventure as Akio delves into the depths of the game's narrative.
As Akio navigates the game's prompts, he unlocks hidden truths about his past and his mother's enigmatic legacy. A chance discovery of a hidden achievement, ominously titled "THE LOSER," sets in motion a series of events that intertwine Akio's fate with that of Renna, the daughter of Rolando, the game's creator. Together, they embark on a quest to save Rolando from a mysterious illness, guided by cryptic clues and the echoes of Akio's mother's wisdom.
With stunning visuals, compelling storytelling, and immersive gameplay, "Horatio’s Life" offers an unforgettable gaming experience that challenges perceptions and sparks the imagination. Prepare to embark on a journey beyond imagination, where every decision shapes the destiny of two worlds in this captivating visual novel adventure.

We did a group reading of the English version and reached the following conclusions: [list] [*]Art and OST The game's art and OST is good and par to standards. Character designs are colorful and very nice to look at. I've personally gotta give huge props to the inclusion of an OP. The OST is unique and nice to listen to, if not just a little too experimental for its own good. We agreed on that the placement of the songs could've been better, and that there are parts of the game weirdly spent mute. [*]SFX We noticed the SFX to be poorly placed and lacking in quality. Special attention to the SFX by the end, which ended before the scene did. [*]UI We agreed the UI is not up to standards for a PC game. It feels more suited to a mobile game. [*]Writing The weakest part of the game. As I have only played the chapter available for free, I can't speak for the development of the plot. However, I feel the premise could've been much better handled if explored in a different way. We agreed that the character interactions and general characterization is weak. It feels like the characters don't exactly have distinct, palpable personalities. We agreed the pacing was subpar. [*]Questionable …8 found this helpful

Amazing game, graphics are to my liking. The story line is interesting to say the least.2 found this helpful
Alright I played the FREE PART and the DLC. 1. Great art no complaints 2. Nice original music and opening video - no voice acting - or at least there wasn't any in my copy? And there are no choices? But it's a great kinetic novel or at least what I played was a great kinetic novel with awesome music and no choices but great art and story and writing 3. Good story with all the fighting and vivid descriptions 4. It literally is pretty decent for 15 dollars at 4 hours but honestly the length of the first chapter made me doubt this but now I know this is pretty long. Will most likely have more DLC - not the ending of the story. 5. There is no filler but I feel some attachment to some of the characters and there is backstory just not any filler. 6. This game is crazy and a joyride of fun...good emotional rollercoaster sentiments 7. I wish the sequel was out now and I don't regret spending 15 dollars it gets much MUCH BETTER THAN CHAPTER 11 found this helpful
An excellent game with a great storyline, impressive graphics, and vibrant colors. The main downside is its short length, leaving me wishing for more. I highly recommend it and eagerly await the next update for additional content. It's definitely worth playing despite its brevity.1 found this helpful
