About Hotel Blind
Hotel Blind is a simulator of a blind person in a hotel room. Enter a new room and complete five objectives before leaving the room. Text popups and audio describe the objects in the room and the walls, allowing you to map out the room in your mind as you play. Navigate the room using movement keys or your gamepad. Completing all of the objectives will complete the room. Each play starts a random room. Hotel Blind can be a standard experience, or a VR experience on the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
Hotel Blind is powered by Unreal Engine 4. It is inspired by this NPR Story: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/464/invisible-made-visible

Hotel Blind is a game about what it's like to be blind, if you also lacked the additional senses of smell, taste, and touch. So it's pretty much nothing like being blind. The "gameplay" consists of staring at white text on a black background and slowly moving around a room using WASD, which in itself feels pretty uninspired and lazy. Overall, the "game" fails to actually be a game and feels more like you're doing nothing. I wouldn't even rebuy this game if it was free.8 found this helpful
10/10 I felt blind. Mostly intellectually as I spent money on this 5 minute game experience.1 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/SsyfOX8zvLU Wrapped around a single mechanical gimmick that isn't implemented well enough to bare the burden of the entire game.
This game is really a waste of money. It is only one room with a small bathroom, where player must just press WASD to locate a few items and then press SPACE on each one to activate it. Then move to the door and it is game over. Supposedly the item locations are randomized each gameplay, but they are easy to find in such a small room. There are no visuals, except a text when an item it found and the game menu. So expected the audio to deliver the most unique experience, but sadly it is not. Only a woman's voice describing each item, which a text-to-speech would have done the job as well. This game could have been made a lot better. Walking through to hotel, staircases, elevator, hotel guest characters and some story line. But it has nothing like that.
This game is no fun at all. Looking at an empty screen, randomly moving keys waiting for text to pop up is extremely boring. I completed the first set of objectives and sent to the door to complete it but never got the achievement.
The developer does not bother fixing the only achievement, which is broken and unobtainable. Older manifest IDs are not available anymore, so there is nothing you can do about it. The game itself is bad but the achievement issue just adds salt to the injury.
