Ignis Dei

Ignis Dei is a short puzzle game about a person trying to escape the black plague by running into the woods. Movement is grid-based and you're solving about five puzzles total. About two of those puzzles are a little obtuse, but otherwise it's a good time spent due to the atmosphere and the creatures you'll meet.

While short it is very visually impressive even if i'd say it leans more cosmic in horror than anything else which gives it a nice atmosphere.

"Ignis Dei" is not a real, full, proper game, it's just a game jam demo that was hacked together in a short time and dumped on Steam FOR PROFIT, which is never okay. The game itself is a simple grid movement first person perspective puzzle horror game where you move around Florence in the time of the bubonic plague, and I guarantee playing hacked together, rushed game jam demos makes the bubonic plague look like a mild hangover. This is the product of a game jam, which immediately tells us it isn't a sincere piece of software. Real games take years of professional work, not a single weekend of amateur hacking. You cannot expect a product slapped together in a week or less to have any value, and "Ignis Dei" shows that these rushed game jam entries are just shovelware impersonating a real game. Badly. Also, products created in game jams were never intended for gamers. They exist only to stroke the ego of amateur developers who can't get a real job in the industry. When untalented developers put their own vanity before the needs of the player, garbage like "Ignis Dei" is the result. Imagine if airports ran a "plane jam" to see who which amateur enthusiast could build an airplane…
