About illWill
Imagine the mix of Doom, Quake, Blood, Serious Sam with some bits of madness, all put into the great Unreal Engine 4.
The name of this bloody cocktail is ILLWILL.

"ILLWILL is a wonderfully squelchy old school first person shooter with big guns and monsters that explode into chunks of meat and blood when you blast them.
Drawing inspiration from DOOM, Quake, Blood and Serious Sam, ILLWILL is a very stylish and comedically brutal old school boomer shooter. It seems that you’re essentially a one-man-army that must blast their way through hordes of monsters that are up to no good."
Alpha Beta Gamer
ILLWILL has no plot in the usual sense. However, each location in the game has its own atmosphere and conveys the story through the environment. The game begins in a closed room, according to the state of which it can be understood that the main hero spent a lot of time inside of it. There are many details in ILLWILL that refer to emotions such as sadness or feelings of loneliness. The game has strong contrasts from gloomy corridors full of hopelessness to large and bright levels inspired by art of Salvador Dali. We can say that ILLWILL is the life experience of the author, both visually imaginative and gameplay experience, down to specific emotions.

Ill Will is a very solid game. It nails the basics in movement and gunplay. Sounds and visuals are good as well. The game by design is a seris of maps in different styles where you shoot stuff with no overarching narrative or any particular hook or thing you really want to explore or get to know. In terms of indie FPS, this rarely gets recommended and named and i think it is because it does not have anything special about it. Even other games that are more janky (like Kvark) get more attention because of that. It is a fine game though. It was around 4 hours of nice pewpew. Is that worth 20$? Well, since it is not the kind of experience you would miss if you didn't play it, it is the perfect game to wishlist and wait for a sale.
Fun little game. Reminds me of a mix of Doom and Serious Sam. Cool and unique weapons. Fun and interesting levels. Cool biss fights. Only complaint is $20 is a bit steep for how short and one dimensional the game is. I still recommend it, but maybe wait for a sale.
game is so boring
One of the best Quake-likes I've ever played. The top review contains some things that are not true about the game. Violin damage upgrades are only for the level, so you cannot lose a boost of "over 100%" because the most it will ever be is 30%. Even then, the game is still easily beatable on the standard difficulty, even without collecting violins. Also, you no longer lose violins when you die. I also never had any issues with the save system, but maybe those issues were patched after they wrote the review. Movement is good and guns feel good (although the soul collector gun is, admittedly, a bit awkward). They all feel sufficiently powerful without being too op. However, no melee or infinite ammo weapon is not a great design choice, although I personally never ran out of ammo. Art style is amazing and unique, but I wish there was more world-building to go along with it. Very well-optimized. No noticeable performance dips. Regularly ran at around 230-240 fps @ 1440p. Overall, a very fun game to play, definite recommend for boomer shooter lovers.
Great game! Absolutely love it! Needs Y axis invert for joypads though :(
This game was a lot of fun for me. It was a very chill relaxing experience (mostly). The Lighting, the Textures, The sound, The Weapons, I love this game. The "Mammoth Gun" Which is basically a Nitro Express/Elephant gun was so satisfying to use, a real highlight of this game. You point that thing at anything and it just deletes it lol. It's a lot like the Super Shotgun (doube barrel) from Doom 2. The Rocket launcher is a lot like the one from Unreal Tournament 2003. It's a shame this game didn't Have an alternate fire mode where you can shoot 3 rockets at a time like UT2003. The Soundtrack is a mix of Electronic and Rock. I haven't heard a soundtrack this good in a game since DUSK honestly. The music slaps. Perfect for when you're gibbing enemies. There were a couple of things that did annoy me though. The fact that you have to beat the Campaign 4 times just to get all of the achievements did rub me the wrong way a little bit. I thought you could beat the game once and then unlock all of the "Modifications" and do one more playthough with all of them enabled to get all of the achievements. Nope doesn't work like that. You can only use one Modification per playthrough. So …
