About Interim Crossroads
Welcome to the Middle World - a purgatory dimension where people's souls go to after they die. In the Middle World people have to complete tasks to atone for their wrongdoings or settle any unfinished matters and emotional traumas before their final destination can be decided. As a newly arrived, Julius has to seek forgiveness of those whose lives he ruined in life. But with no memories of his Earth life, the task wouldn't be easy. He has to make friends and connections and find out more about this world - a world that exists in a permanent twilight time of the day, has a futuristic cyberpunk flare, and where it is impossible to die, while pain and suffering are all as real as they can be.While uncovering our past and facing its challenges, we also must face the ever-unpredictable politics and dangers of the Middle World, with different groups contending for power and influence, covert alliances and secret deals, and parasitic creatures that feed on people's suffering. And perhaps in the midst of this chaos we can build a meaningful connection with someone, whose fate will intertwine with our own and seal our final path.General Features:
- A visual novel with choices to make on how to act or what to say, which impacts our standing with others, as well as some of the future events and endings.
- Relationship and trust building with different individuals and even a faction. From these, there are three different romantic interests to build a deeper connection with.
- Three attributes: Virtue, Callosity, and Defiance. How we act will cause different attributes to increase, which in turn can unlock some dialogue options and even entire game endings.
- Uncover the mystery of Julius' past and what brought him to this world to seek forgiveness.
- 16 different endings that depend on our decisions and the relationships we've built.
- Fully-rendered 3D images of characters and events as they unfold in each scene.

Welcome to the Middle World—a cyberpunk purgatory with neon vibes, eternal twilight, and more emotional baggage than your average drama series. Interim Crossroads drops you into this strange, pain-is-real-but-death-isn’t limbo, as Julius—a man with no memory but a major to-do list of guilt, redemption, and existential dilemmas. The game promises impactful choices, deep character relationships, and about 16 different endings, but does it deliver a meaningful afterlife experience? Let’s unpack it.
About This Game

Storyline
The story starts with a classic trope: amnesia. You’re Julius, freshly dead and utterly clueless, thrown into a world that feels both futuristic and fantastical. The Middle World has one main rule—if you’ve got unfinished business or unresolved trauma, you’re stuck here until you fix it. Julius’s “unfinished business”? Redeeming himself to …182 found this helpful

You are Julius, a man who finds himself in a strange place without knowing how he got there. He also can’t seem to remember anything about himself. Everything is soon revealed by those who rule this place: you’ve apparently died and now you’re stuck here until you complete your task. Each one has its own, and if you don’t do it, you might never leave. However, some seem to like this world and have no interest of leaving. Your task is to make peace with people who got killed because of your actions. But since you can’t remember anything, you don’t know who they are. Luckily, there’s a mysterious sphere that triggers parts of your memory. The closer you get to accomplishing your task, the more you’ll remember. This world, which looks like something out of a sci-fi, has its own rules. The most important is that you don’t have to sleep or eat, and you don’t have to worry about dying either. But you can still feel pain or experience pleasure. Fortunately, you won’t be alone. Your main two companions will be Arlyn, a guard and your guide, and Seiko, a woman who was part of your group that appeared in this strange world. You will move where the story takes you. It’s mostly linear, but …9 found this helpful
