About It Comes In Waves

It all started when you left…
In "It Comes In Waves", you'll play as a lone outcast on a dangerous desert planet, trying to grow a specimen to bring to The Sanctuary. How can you grow anything in a world this barren?

It is a very personal, experimental and minimalist game.
The World
Eremar Prime is a harsh and unforgiving place. You'll need to scavenge for resources, fight off raiders and make tough choices to survive. You can also visit the local town (but don't expect a welcoming crowd).
Gameplay
"It Comes In Waves" is a minimalist game that combines exploration, combat, and resource management in a unique way. Water is the main resource. It constantly evaporates if you are out in the desert, so you will need to collect more or improve your equipment’s efficiency. Otherwise, you WILL die.

If you die, there is no reloading. You have to start fresh.

i like this one its GOOD. i understand the point of the permadeath but it is kinda frustrating to replay like 90% of the game because i had to pay attention to something else for 0.1 seconds and accidentally walked in the river but tbf theyre calling it an edgecase. gunplay feels unnecessarily good for the kinda game this is

A decent Rogue-like adventure. Pros: - a Serviceable walking sim style game that mixes in light combat. - a light survival mechanic where you must manage water levels as you progress through the game Cons: - bit of a one trick pony kind of game. Conclusion: A one-off adventure where dying starts you all the way back to the beginning. You've only got one shot to complete the game.

This is clearly a game created as a therapy for someone. I could feel it from the very start. Slight star wars nostalgia helps you stay through the whole experience. Not worth a penny but it is a game as advertised.

A great atmospheric walking simulator with interesting locations and a surprisingly snappy combat system. Not a lot of depth in terms of the combat or lore, but the developer still left us with a very interesting world that could be expanded upon greatly. A large amount of potential for an extremely small 30 minute adventure.

Very short but beautiful. Basically free when on sale. 10/10

This is not a videogame. I mean, it is, you push buttons and lights move on the screen. By definition: it has gameplay and it has mechanics. But this thing right here is not strictly a videogame as a form of enternaiment, nor it is a product that has inherent value within a market. And I am denying those claims because even though I was entertained by it and a paid a price to be entertained, I found in this media I am recommending a still image. I found a still image, placed along the walls of some museum, not in pause but in perpetual motion. I found a loop which we can only escape by looking away. But that still image, that oil painting of a world that may or may not exist. I found eldritch lore the same I found human nature. And it was there, art started showing its definition once again. We've seen this before, we all got to that point when value has meaning and meaning has value. And we stop talking about money or technology. And we start talking about life and the short time it has in the world.
