Wow, for a cheap game there are so many levels when you combine the console and handheld versions. The game is fun and I enjoyed blasting robots and aliens alike. Awesome game.6 found this helpful
Excellent Late-NES-style run'n'gun action game. I loved the original, and this is a solid improvement. Challenging (although somewhat more forgiving than the original Jet Gunner), with fantastic chunky pixel art that really impressively captures the feel of that era. I always know I'm in for a good time with Sinclair Strange's games, and this is no exception!4 found this helpful
Heh, love how there were a total of 3 games!3 found this helpful
Jet Gunner: Refueled is a modern revival of a classic idea—a high-octane, side-scrolling run-and-gun platformer that celebrates the intensity and precision of the 8-bit and 16-bit eras while updating it with modern smoothness and flair. Developed by Sinclair Strange and published by Clickteam, the game feels like a long-lost cartridge from the golden age of action gaming, restored and refined for a new generation. Every moment of it—from the crisp pixel art to the thumping chiptune soundtrack—pays homage to arcade design philosophy, where reflexes, memorization, and perseverance determine success. It’s unapologetically old school, yet it’s built with the care and precision of a developer who deeply understands what made those early experiences so timeless. At its core, Jet Gunner: Refueled puts you in control of a jetpack-equipped commando sent into the heart of relentless chaos. Each level is a kinetic ballet of dodging, shooting, and platforming, where constant motion is survival. Unlike most run-and-gun games that restrict you to the ground, the addition of the jetpack changes everything—it grants vertical mobility that allows you to weave between enemies and environmental haza…2 found this helpful
I still enjoy and loved the original Jet Gunner, it was a simple 8bit experience that was just fun to go through and blast everything and toe tapping 8bit tunes. Something I enjoy and still do as a older gamer. Now we have a remake of sorts. Jet Gunner Refueled feels more like a sequel than a remake because it's got some things from the originals and extras! The game is a NES style game from front to back, with tunes that arguably are better than the original game. Sprites are much larger and the levels designs are familiar in a good way. I honest wish people gave Sinclair Strange more love, his games are really good and also worth the value in price. This game has some length to it and a "Game boy" variant for that look and feel of our hand held friend of old! Everything here is well worth the $6. I highly recommend this to any gamer who enjoys the classic aesthetics of the NES or classic gaming. You'd be missing out if you don't forward the cash and play, it's a good time.2 found this helpful
If you enjoy getting your arse handed to you, check out Jetgunner: Refueled. Features glorious 8 bit graphics, some ridiculously hard bosses, a bunch of weapons & power-ups, and a jetpack! Seriously hard. Like, 90s arcade hard. Comes with console & handheld (even retro-er) version of the game. Check it out!
