It's a really nice alternative to CoD: Zombies if you and your buddies are looking to get a similar, simple experience on the cheap. It has 4 maps (one of which is returning from the original L.S.S), various perks (no perk limit W), and the barricade-survival gameplay that we've come to love. It's not too deep, but for its price, L.S.S II is a hidden little gem.3 found this helpful
Follow my curator page for more recommendations!
I picked this up to play with a friend since we like the COD Zombies formula, and I liked TimeShifters, but man.. this is not good. Even for the current discount of $0.89 it isn't worth that. You can buy a vastly better and more-polished zombie horde indie game for extremely cheap, such as CYBERHUNK, Ultimate Zombie Defense 1 & 2, Zedfest, Zombie Estate 2, Nation Red, or the upcoming Imperium. I'm not even sure where to start with this game's issues, so here's just a few short sentences of various problems the game has: There's only one slightly interesting map (Church) while the other 3 are extremely forgettable and made up of generic square corridors and rooms. None of the guns feel very good, they sound weak, and have pretty terrible animations (the G13 straight up doesn't even have a reload animation..). It's a very buggy game, not even rebinding keys works properly (also the game doesn't recognize side mouse buttons). Most things your teammate does aren't shown properly on your end, like a lot of weapons are missing world models so you'll see your f…1 found this helpful
This game might look like a little rough around the edges, because it is, but it's actually well worth the price of admission. The gameplay is simple but enjoyable, the sound design is pretty good for the most part, and while the graphics are probably the weakest aspect, I personally see a bit of charm in them and think they fit the style of the game. Even the time you get from just exploring all the maps and trying to learn the best strategies for each makes this worth it. Lots of ideas are borrowed from CoD, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Don't get me wrong though, there are enough changes to keep things fresh and interesting for an experienced Zombies player. First off, the gameplay is very reminiscent of CoD Zombies: Survive increasingly difficult waves by buying better weapons, perks, and staying ahead of the hordes. The perk-a-cola mechanic is carried over, but with slight changes and additions that are fun to try out. Stamina and health are also slightly reworked, but maintain the same basic concepts. I'd say where it most differs is the difficulty. Rounds 1-4 compared to 5+ are like night and day, and from someone who is used to the gradual buildup of CoD, it's a bit…1 found this helpful
This game changed my view of zombies games and my life. The craftsmanship of this game is absolutely stunning and makes me want to goon all over the screen. This is the most amazing game I've ever played. Thank you for making this, I love you game dev<3
This game is life changing i now stop edging and gooning because im so awe struck by how detailed and amazingly crafted this game is. thank you for helping me stop gooning. I love you creator <3
“I wanna play CoD zombies” “We have Zombies at home” Except that it’s lovingly made by someone instead of a soulless corporation and plays well without sacrificing your personal security (I’m looking at you BO III). What we get is a very simple and fun wave based squad survival. This game is fun with friends and will run on a literal potato. It’s a good deck game and it’s made by the guy that did TimeShifters (go buy that too).
